Great monitors

I purchased two of these for my home office and they are wonderful. I get disappointed when I need to swap back to my in office inferior monitors.

Good monitor

I purchased 2 monitors and the biggest issue is the lack of instructions on how to install it in combination among them. The god part is the quality of the image

Great Monitors

We have been buying HP computers and monitors for 10 years. HP monitors have been top notch with multiple input options that greatly improve their versatility. Adjustability of the sturdy support stands is a value that is often overlooked.

Great features

I bought this over a month ago but HP sales sold me the wrong monitor for it. The sales department knowledge was very poor. I went thru many techs then supervisors to purchase and exchange for the correct monitor. I had to pay more because the sales people did not know what ports the new desk top had. I was very disappointed in HP. I pay for a monthly service with HP and after many calls they realize the monitor and desk top were not capable. I loss three weeks of work and had to pay more for the second monitor for their mistake

Sharp images with great detail

My company IT department recently upgraded everyone with 2 monitors. When I began working from home my personal PC monitor was pale in comparison. So I purchased the same monitor for personal use that my company bought. Now all 3 monitors are clear, sharp and of equal brightness, with clear displays on all screens.

Just wow!!

Great value, most of all great design all around from the stand (swivel on the base, great!!) and thin bezels and pretty good display. Highly recommend for home or business.

Not Good

I purchased an HP Z Workstation at the same time with the E243i Monitor . When I received them there was no cable that was furnished to properly connect the Monitor to the Workstation. What was provided with the Monitor was a VGA and HDMI cable. It took me over a week to determine that was needed was a Mini-DMI to HDMI connector to make the Monitor properly function with the Workstation. Since I ordered the two components at the same time, don't you think that HP would have furnished the proper cable with the Monitor to connect the two components (or visa-versa). Or Maybe it was my fault for not thinking outside of the BOX!!! Other than the cable issue the Monitor is fantastic once I got it properly connected.

HP EliteDisplay répond a mes attente

Outstanding Monitor

Easy set-up. Colors are dead on coming out of the box. No calibration required.

Excellent Graphics

I was going to return this one because it was silver and I wanted black but once I hooked it up, Iike it much better than my other monitor so I am going to sell my HP 25vx and but another one of these to have matching monitors. Much better features and picture.

Nice monitor, but inconsistent quality

I bought one of these monitors about a year ago and it is extremely solid with great image quality and color that matches my older monitor. I then bought a second one this month and I'm very disappointed in the quality. The base has been changed so the pivot part is now an open C section rather than a closed tube. The monitor jiggles all around just from my typing which is very distracting and makes it feel very low quality. The color on the new monitor is also much warmer with whites on the same interfaces showing up with a yellow tint.

Nice display & stylish design, but awkward USB hub

I bought this monitor for working from home, like so many others in recent months. It has a nice and sharp standard DPI display (at 94 PPI, close to the 96 PPI ideal), with numerous menu settings for controlling the image. I wanted a proper 16:10 WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution monitor that was 24" (my own ideal monitor size), rather than one of the typical 16:9 Full HD (1080p) monitors that are so common anymore these days. My preference was not just for the extra 11% in vertical real estate, but also because HP, like other manufacturers, only produces 24" monitors that can achieve 300 cd/m2 of brightness in the WUXGA resolution, since Full HD (1080p) monitors are normally limited to up to only 250 cd/m2 of brightness unless you go up to 27" in size, and that's just too much screen to stare at for me. I've got my E243i hooked up to both my Mac mini and my Windows PC via HDMI and DisplayPort, respectively. Both digital connections work as expected, and switching between them is easy enough using the monitor's connection auto-detection feature and also the on-screen control menu (accessible via the bottom-right buttons). I was initially a little worried about the monitor's colour depth, since it's 6-bit + FRC rather than true 8-bit when it comes to displaying millions of colours. However, for the purposes of a home office monitor, it looks good enough for my eyes. Indeed, one of the reasons I bought this particular model is that the E243i has a colour gamut of 99% sRGB -- albeit not factory-calibrated -- which again is higher than your standard run-of-the-mill 1080p display (which are usually only 8x% - 9x% at best). I haven't gone to the trouble of buying a colorimeter and calibrating my E243i, since its out-of-the-box colour calibration seems all right to me, and I'm not a professional photographer. Build quality seems decent. The frame is all plastic except for the upright part of the stand, which is thankfully metal, but that's to be expected at this price range, and is true of all competitor models as well. (Actually, this one's better. Most competing monitor stands are all-plastic, even the upright.) No sounds of coil whine or excessive heat observed from running the monitor. However, the monitor's USB 3.0 hub has only 2 ports, which are on the back of the left side. I would've preferred two additional ports (at least USB 2.0, if not 3.0) on the bottom so that permanent peripherals like a mouse and keyboard could be plugged in there. And once you do plug a USB device into one of the side ports, it's next to impossible to pull out, unless you either use a pair of needle nose pliers or resort to pulling the device's cable (which you should never do, as it frays the cable and eventually wrecks it). This is simply because HP didn't leave enough room around the USB port housing for fingers to be able to grab a plugged-in USB cable. Another concern of mine was the monitor's packaging itself. It's kind of hard to believe any manufacturers are still using styrofoam nowadays, but HP does in this case. It makes a mess, gets everywhere, and can't be recycled, so gets thrown in the landfill. In contrast, Dell switched to using only cardboard packaging years ago, and I applaud them for it. All in all, the HP EliteDisplay E243i is a good monitor for business and home office use, and I'd buy another. It's normally priced less expensively than a Dell U2415, which is this monitor's typical competitor in the 16:10 WUXGA 24" space; granted, the U2415 comes factory-calibrated for colour and has twice as many USB 3.0 ports (including one for battery charging on the back), but not everyone needs those extra features.

Spacious, great colors and solid stand

Great monitor that doesn't strain eyes when using for hours on end for work or entertainment. The stand is solid base that will not easily tip over that gives you different angles to play with; as well as adjustable height and rotation. The colors are great and that extra space really helps with applications that regularly needs to scroll down.

Works great with my HP Docking Station

Working from home with 2 screens attached to my docking station - one an HP Elite 223 and the other an old other-brand screen from an old desk top. The other-brand worked okay, but the colors aren't as true nor is as kind to my eyes. So, bought an Elite 243. Arrived in good time, it was extremely well packaged and the monitor was easy to set up with every connection you could ever want. The instructions for easy set up are on the screen as a protector. Also includes a CD if you need drivers, but that wasn't necessary for my system. The screen adjustments (blue light, reading, night etc.) are by buttons at the bottom edge of the screen and I got it adjusted to my tastes and needs quickly (I work with lots of spreadsheets, drawings, and PowerPoint presentations). The slide for adjusting the height works smoothly and the pass-thru for the cables is appreciated,

Versatile and user friendly

I just got my monitor and I simply love the size. At first I thought it would be too big, but it is the perfect size. The picture quality is outstanding and can be changed to fit the needs of the user. The only thing missing on this monitor is the built on speakers which to me would put this monitor way above others of this size

Quality expected from HP

"Elite" is an appropriate name for the display. It provides the quality that I expect from my HP products.

Nice monitor

I bought a single monitor for my home office. Connects well with my Lenovo laptop. Has a number of options for connections. Since I don't like straining my neck, I like that the height and viewing angle are adjustable. The stand is well balanced so the height adjustment is simple. Looks nice too.

Easy Setup and Sharp Display

I bought this for my wife for her home office. It was really easy to set up, and I really like the fact it has HDMI, displayport, and VGA inputs. The display is very crisp and the overall size is great for her needs.
