For the price, this is a good deal. OK for checking e-mail but not for much more. Too slow. Also, with no CD drive, it is impossible to download additional programs. Small size and light weight are its advantages.

This machine arrived in a very timely fashion. Setup was easy and I put it to work. The third day I had it, the automatic updates began. To date, over 100 windows updates have been done, the most done at once were 75 updates. That process took over 12 HOURS. Needless to say, that has eaten into some time I needed the machine for business. Now that that has seemed to stop, the machine is okay. At one point I used the HP programs for browsing to stay out of Windows and found that to be even slower. I hope things improve now that the updates are over.

I have had a number of PC's over the years, most of which were HP and am saitisfied fully with all of them. This little one is great for traveling, or a backup bedroom PC, or for school. MS Office runs well. The internet could be sluggish at times but works ok. Music and picture files work as well as most larger laptops. For the average user, this laptop is more than adequate and a great value.

It's a pretty nice laptop that gets the simple jobs done. It has a few nice features, and its easy to carry around and its not all that heavy. The only downside is that it doesnt have a CD drive, which I guess if you get it for the right reasons (like I did) you probably won't really need one.

I bought this mini for my 14 year old daughter. Within a week, she dropped a TV remote on the screen. The screen broke (half of the screen could not be viewed). It was going to cost more than I paid for the mini to have it repaired. Not very durable.

I have no complaints about this netbook. I bought it partly to use at home on the sofa after I've gotten tired of spending hours at my desk in front of my big laptop. And I bought it partly to take to wi-fi hotspots like the library. I really like it, and I'm glad I bought the one with the 9 hours of battery life, since I find that I charge it while I'm asleep, then it's ready for cord-free use all day and more. HP supplied a nice sync program on it so I easily synced all my files with my big laptop. I use it mostly for web browsing, internet radio, and email sending and reading. Very good performance, decent sound, nice software, nice size and weight, great battery. Just needs a carrying case to protect it when I put it in my backpack.
