Nice if you plan to upgrade to an SSD, slowwwwwww as is
Very nice and very good condition unit. Mine came with backlit keyboard. It suffers from the 1TB hard drive being a traditional drive... I had to swap it out for a solid state ASAP. Really brings the PC to life. Without, it's so slow it's inoperable, locking up all the time, not sure if you clicked something because nothing's happening. I thought the i5 and 12GB RAM would offset not having an SSD but it acts like a Celeron. Did not try downgrading to Windows 10 to help with this issue but Windows 11 really needs an SSD in 2023 and it was the only thing that saved this laptop. 17" screen looks great/is anti-glare. Keyboard types very well. Unit was about 1 year, 2 months old according to HP. Built-in speakers are okay, they're right in the middle in terms of quality. No WiFi 6, but WiFi AC and Bluetooth included. Battery holds a decent charge. Unit is difficult to get inside for upgrades, HP really doesn't want you in there. I am a Staples easy tech technician and even I'm surprised at how slow this was out of the box. Buy it and do the SSD upgrade, be patient with the Windows install as there are some hiccups along the way and it's a beast of a machine in the end! Well worth it.
