I was up against a dying computer and operating system that was no longer supported, so it was time to buy a new one. Alas, this one isn't much better than the one that was on its way out. It's slow, noisy, and lacks much of the functionality that my old HP Pavilion had. Clearly not an upgrade.

Great computer was easy to set up. My old one was a windows 8 and was not working well . This computer seems super fast no matter what I am doing. Lots of storage and memory. I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to computers so I have some learning to do on how to transfer my old files and documents to this new one. Looks like the right computer to replace the old windows 8.

So far, my new HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-3055xt, has worked flawlessly. Compared to my older Windows 10 computer, it is smaller, faster, quieter, and much more powerful. The set up was tricky. What worked was I went to ChatGPT (on my old computer), where I described my old computer, the peripherals that I was keeping (such as my printer and monitor), the kind of email service I would continue to use, the old and new Microsoft 365 apps, etc., and then I described the new computer, and I asked ChatGPT to provide a detailed step-by-step process to set up my new computer. The instructions filled three pages. I followed the ChatGPT instructions, step-by-step, and they worked. My advice is that when you switch to a new computer, ask ChatGPT for the steps to follow. I have recommended the HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-3055xt, to other people who need to upgrade their computer.

I've owned HP computers for the last 20 years and I've never had a bad one they've always worked well I have a lot of good features the price can be a little higher than I like but my last HP computer lasted me almost 8 years and it's still working great. But I purchased a new one because my old one wouldn't take Windows 11. So anyway I can do nothing better than recommend HP and their customer service is excellent

This is my fourth Pavilion desktop. The functionality of the Pavilion has improved greatly over the years. It has more than enough memory for my daily usage and file storage. I was especially impressed with the almost seamless transition between Windows 10 and 11. Loading time for my games has decreased significantly. THANK YOU!

So far, this computer is very good, but when I wake it up after putting it to sleep, I have no sound, so I have to restart the computer. Then I have sound. If I shut down the computer entirely, then I have sound when I start it up. What is going on here? Is it wise to shut the computer down completely several times a day?

I really like the fact that this one is a solid state 512GB, has a 2 TB storage hard drive, 16 GB of RAM, speaker connections on the back, DVD, and the ability to either use the VGA hook up or HDMI for the monitor. Just what I was looking for.

I love this desktop computer! My old one was old. It started out brand new with Windows 8 and I loved it until the day it wasn't behaving properly so I tried to reset it to an earlier date. That's when it showed me a critical message that it failed. This one is super fast and has Windows 11 and many other features I haven't tried yet. But I do love it!

It works good for the routine tasks that I ask of it. However, I chose this model because it came with a CD burner. The CD ROM that came with this machine is a low quality fragile plastic spring loaded device like the cheap ones that used to come with laptops 25 years ago. It is not durable at all. Nothing like the quality one on my old H.P. Shameful cost cutting.

This computer has spent more time with the Geek Squad and Best Buy Service Center than it has with me. It has an overheating problem that only presents itself when it's idle. It get hot, freezes and needs a hard power down/up to start working again. The last time is froze, even a hard power down/up didn't work. I've had HP computers for years and never experienced a problem like this. I hope HP replaces this computer because I can't use it this way.

I like that it has a fast start up, super quiet - no noise from the fans. It has a lot of inputs. Nothing as of right now for improvements. Use it for work purposes - emails, document creation, and video calls. Setting up new programs and that it was quick, fast and no issues blocking from downloading programs

This is my first HP. However, I am not very happy about its functionality. It isn't stable. The settings is keeping frozen almost every time I want to use. Only until I restarted the computer, then runs OK. How many times I need to do?

On the HP Chat I asked to purchase a home office personal replacement Pavilion. The Chat asked, "what price range' and searched for this unit on a sales promotion over the 4th of July Holiday. I use my computer for home accounting, web searches, personal files, and no gaming. The agent strongly recommended I purchase a program software to transfer my information from my Widows 10 Pavilion to the new Windows 11 one. The PC mover program shutdown at the transfer of my photos and posted a dialogue box stating access to download has to be granted for that segment to load. I could not get that to do anything and upon reboot the dialogue box appears. Chats with the company didn't resolve either issue. I uninstalled the program and still have the dialogue box appear. I can click it off screen, but I don't think that's right. The setup program indicated a battery problem. I later found out the Pavilion does not include a battery monitor feature. I read the 78-page instruction manual and learned a few things. The unit shuts off in sleep mode and requires pushing the on/off switch to wake. The performance is quick, and I will never stop needing to learn what else it can do. Pressure from Microsoft about terminating support of Widows 10 caused me to purchase. I am satisfied and will continue to refine my abilities to operate this computer.

This is the third Pavilion Desktop I've had and am just as happy with it as I was with the others. The only problem I've had has nothing to do with HP, but I absolutely hate Windows 11!

So far, this has been a very nice desktop with a great price. The setup was relatively easy and the PC has many features that are difficult to find on some newer PC's. Having a build-in Read-Write DVD drive was a real plus. The card reader is a nice feature I can use to offload pictures from my Canon Digital Camera. The multiple USB drives and type "C" drive are a real plus also. At this point, I am very happy with the PC's performance.

The HP Pavilion was surprisingly easy to set up on my own. What I like most is the ability to find detailed answers to most issues just by typing in a question. I have found the wait time for HP Tech Support to be too long so I haven't waited on my phone to actually get the help I need on a couple of issues.
