Very difficult setup specially wireless. No easy way besides needing a cable to do the initial setup. I am a IT guy and still had to struggle for 20plus minutes to have setup completed and the scanning part still does not work. Stay away from this printer

I didn't realize I have to use HP ink or else the printer wont print. 
It is a printer and it does it's job, it's my 3rd HP deskjet if that tells you anything. 
I will not sign up for the ink plan because I hardly print, and when I wear this printer out I will not buy HP again because of your ink rule.
I will be watching because someone is going to file a class action lawsuit for the chip in your ink cartridges that will ruin the printer forever.
Until I read that about the ink, I loved everything about HP, but now I am mad, sorry for the poor review, but you lost a loyal customer.

Great printer, horrible ink policy.

I'm glad I didn't recycle my old printer yet...one more paper jam on this 2855 piece of junk and I'm digging out my old one. I can find no reason that the flat when inserted paper would bend and curl in the paper feed, but it surely does.

The printer hasn't arrived and I could have ordered it from Amazon for the same price having it delivered the same day. I have 2 of the same printers in other locations - - they work fine. I don't know about this one. I also know that having the "Instant Ink" costs more than it's worth. I'm not going to subscribe to it because of the monthly cost...

Problems with Delivery

Was hard to set up, would not stay online, wouldn't scan. Returned it after a week. Previous HP printer had no problem.

Setup was easy. Didn't even need a password. Performance so far is great

The printer does a fine job printing, but getting it set up was difficult and took several tries. The world needs a simple to turn on printer without needing an internet connection to the manufacturer to get it able to operate, just a plug and play unit with a usb connnection.

Buy Canon! Printer not even on HP printer list! This is my second HP printer. I have reset wireless network, shutoff phone, remove app and reinstalled, turned off printer, unplugged, watched YouTube tube videos. All I want to do is print and copy and I certainly DO NOT want to subscribe to ANYTHING just to print.

I hate my printer

My new printer is a compact size nearly identical to the 14 year old HP it replaces. It prints quickly and clearly, and offers suitable features for someone who occasionally needs to print, copy or scan.

KUDOS HP

HP holds your printer hostage until you join paper and ink refills. Twice my 6400 locked up until I ordered from the ink refill. I couldn't get my 2800 printer working so I called HP and the helper on the phone said I was using a substandard brand of ink cartridge. I told him that I was using the ink that came with the printer. I finally gave in and joined printer and paper HP replacement again. It immediately came on line and printed for me. I have nearly full ink cartridges on both of my printers and yet HP has sent me replacement cartridges 3 times in the last two months! Give me a break! Never buy an HP!

Great Printer

Printer price is affordable, but it's setup process is very complicated. It wasted our a lot of time to always make connection with internet. Otherwise it doesn't work properly until connect with internet. This process is tricky and puzzling. We had to buy another printer to get rid of it.

I recently purchased an HP 2855e printer. Images and text are clear and true to color. What's more, it was affordable and just retired my last HP Printer of the last 10 year to purchase a new one. When considering new printers take a serious look at the HP brand and their Instant Ink offering. They will save you money.

HP Printers are the Best for Home

The printer is wireless, and my present computer is wired. The printer is always going offline. Support worked for 4 hours to get it online. I turned it off when done, next morning tuned it off. offline again.

Frustrated

The printer is worth its price and a good starter pack. Slightly bigger for travelling. As soon as possible I'll for a slimmer machine flexible for travelling and printing anywhere.

Good printer

Easy to use, quick and very efficient. Great price, features and I really enjoy the fact the ink comes to you instead of you having to chase it down! I use for basic black and white letters with occasional color. Highly recommended for reliable printing.

Get One!

I am very happy with my HP Deskjet 2855e printer. It came earlier than expected and was very easy to set up. The print quality is great and it prints fast. I would recommend this printer to anyone, especially if you only need one for printing a couple pages a week.

This printer is easy to use and it was easy to set up. I used my phone, after downloading the hp app which was the recommended method of setting it up. I am very happy with the quality of the printing.

Instant ink does not work with my wifi. I was promised several months of instant ink but will be out soon.

You honestly get what you paid for. It works, but can be hit or miss with connection for no reason at all. It's frustrating when I'm working from home and need something to print and it decides to be temperamental.
