Excellent laptop.
Excellent laptop, very fast, I have zero problems getting my work done. Nice to be able to play a game at the end of the day.

Dead pixel on second machine
HP manufacturing quality control is at its absolute worst in this laptop. The first one was damaged from the factory with a broken case and hinge. The box had no shipping damage, so I know it was damaged during manufacturing and quality control failed to discard it, so I RMAed it back to HP. The second one showed up and appeared to be physically fine until I booted it up. This one has a bad pixel on the screen that is quite noticeable. For an $4200.00 laptop, it isn't even worth the sale price that I paid for it. The only good thing I can really say about HP at this point is that their customer service and RMA process are very easy to use. Unfortunately, HP uses FEDEX shipping which is not easy to find a shipping location in my area to return the laptops.

I really love this laptop! It does exactly what I need it to do. I really appreciate the help of Tim Sandoval in helping me find the perfect laptop for my needs! He was wonderful and very knowledgeable about all the products.

Better than expected?
Super lightening fast! Never hear the fan blowing. Driving 3 large monitors with 8-10 hours work per day never a fan needed. Runs super cool and super fast. Absolutely love it!

Doubling up on the enjoyment
I actually bought two. One with 16GB RAM for work (used as a true portable computer) and one for home. My old HP devices, both Omens, are well past their primes, and though both are still working, I'm pretty sure that's not gonna last. These computer are monsters when it comes to duplicating the work I did on my old devices. I like the lit keyboard, the sound, the ease with which I can add storage... Overall, I am pleased with my two purchases.

Ownership of a kickin' set of laptops
I bought two of these to replace my older HP devices. One will be a work computer, the other will replace my Omen desktop at home. I simply like the feel of these machines. I like the backlit kepyboard and the expandability of storage and memory--though the ribbon cables attaching the keyboard to the motherboard has given me fits. I hope to use these for a good long time, using them to write fiction and screenplays, edit, prepare websites, edit and design book covers, and a host of other visual projects. I am fortunate to be at a point in my life where dropping five grand on two sparkly new laptops ain't no thing, especially as we tumble into a global recession. Figure better to spend it now and have goold, solid equipment to get through the dark times than wait and miss this opportunity to upgrade my primary equipment.

ZBook with Core i7 processor
This is by far the fastest and best performing laptop I have ever used. The norm used to be you had to sacrifice speed for the portability of a laptop, but not with this one. It is actually considered a workstation which is what makes it so awesome! Once you consider the Bang & Olufsen audio it just goes over the top.

Great Laptop at a decent price. I'm glad I caught the sale.
The machine arrived promptly and the setup was minimal and went off without a hitch. Although it's a 17" screen it's not as heavy as I thought it would be. Battery life is decent, I can go about 12 hr's on a charge, which is fine since I don't plan on traveling with this device too much. Overall fit and finish is good. The only thing so far that's bothering me is the lettering on the Function Keys (F1-F12). It's so small I can barely read it even with glasses.

The computer business must be tough? HP, the company that advanced computational capabilities for budding scientist, engineers and even astronauts through the 70?s and 80?s is more than just another on-time internet storefront sales kiosk. Forty-Five years after engineering school at Clemson University and my career as a civil engineer, I purchased a new HP ZBook laptop online this year to extend my computing capabilities as a consultant and again it was reminiscent of the 70?s when HP retired the slide rule and rescued engineerning students all over the US with the HP 35 calculator. This is my second HP mobile workstation. The first one I had for eleven years never had a problem. This new model is a step above. The feel and build quality are worth every cent. Yes, I would highly recommend this laptop.

I had to return the computer because of many issues. First and foremost, a computer of this price should have the windows hello feature (adequate cam) and touch screen! Also, the battery does not last as advertised, and it froze several times. I am not sure if it is the computer or windows itself or maybe pre-installed software.

No stock!
I would like to be writing a glowing review about my new laptop. Unfortunately, it's a no-show. HP advised that they made a mistake when they promoted it to me as "in stock, ready to ship" and that I would have to wait a minimum of 5 weeks to see if it ever would be in stock or, if they would cancel the order. It's more than 5 weeks and no update.

GREAT LAPTOP FOR CUSTOMIZING
Bought this laptop based on a recommendation from my IT Professional son. He said HP support was among the best...and he was right. I found lots of technical information on their website and a good service manual that enables the end user to customize and upgrade the laptop. Disassembly is very simple and fully explained. I specifically bought this unit to support my massive music library and the ability to install 4 solid state drives for storage as well as backup is just what I needed.
