It was better priced than Coscto, the laptop alone was $600 cheaper. Unfortunately, was not a good find for me. I need a Laptop which can do fast 3D rendering. I thought that the 16G dedicated graphics will work, but looks like I need more powerful CPU instead. If you'd like to carry it in daily bases, the charger if the biggest and heaviest I've ever seen, and this information is not listed in the full specs.

Touch pad doesn't work right Sometimes needs Multiple tries with left click , often right click menu pops up when I left click. Very annoying

I have this laptop for about 2 months now and have not had a single issue. This thing is a beast, and can run any current title with ease. The only con is that if you are purchasing the 17.3" Version then the portability is not as great as a smaller laptop, which I knew when I purchased because I mainly just keep it on my desk. Buy this thing, its lightning fast and overall a great beast of a machine.

Nice high resolution screen, gameplay is fast with no stutters. have had it since it first came out, power adaptor "brick" so large it's not very portable. interferes with the ethernet adaptor and make it disconnect too often. it does get hot, even if not gaming. miss having an integrated num pad like other 17" laptops. last version of OMEN 17 had spaces for 2 M2 drives and a thin SATA 3 drive, but now it's just M2's, so no cheap LARGE storage is available. had to add a USB C gig ethernet adaptor to keep the power cable from messing up my file transfers. had to get a USB Number pad to do gaming keys.

It's a great laptop. The graphics on my games are nice. But for a game like runescape...its over heating. I had to downgrade my game graphics for a 21 year old game because of overheating. The laptop runs it smoothly but at top graphics it overheats very very badly. It would of been nice if you had included a fingerprint reader and cd drive. I feel like I am overpaying just for the Nvidia graphic card. Not dissing the power of the laptop itself. It's great. But it's lacking some decent things like a good fan.

So far loving the new Omen HP Laptop. I had a previous version for years which was fantastic and decided to re-buy. Super fast and smooth, great performance. It's a large laptop and a bit heavy, but not a major issue. I also preferred the previous look better but am fine with this one. One other slight issue is that there's not a numpad even though there seems to be room for one - not sure if I missed another option that had that but would have been nice. Overall fantastic.

Hunted for laptop with some muscle and was not disappointed. Powerhouse laptop for the price. I use this laptop for Solidworks (2021) - My assemblies typically range in the 3,000 part point and this laptop easily renders and displays. Granted it still cant fully operate in 3D space unless large-assembly mode is enabled, the graphics rarely lag and section view are easily generated. This unit is fully capable of producing detailed drawings as well.

I purchased an HP Pavilion 17 Gaming Laptop for graduate school. To ensure I would not have to purchase another laptop for many years, I opted to customize the laptop with maximum quality of many features, including: -?1 TB PCIe® NVMe? M.2 SSD -?32 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2x16GB) -?Intel® Core? i7 9750H (2.6 GHz, up to 4.5 GHz, 12 MB cache, six cores)+NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 (4 GB GDDR5) After one year, I mistakenly upgrade to Windows 12. The laptop nearly automatically begins failing?a blue screen of death repeatedly and becomes inoperative. Luckily, I think I purchased the two-year extended warranty. I send the laptop off for repairs. They allegedly replace the motherboard and hard drive and "vigorously test" for flaws. Upon receiving the computer back, it begins blue screening within minutes. Inoperative again. This laptop has had no accidents, spills, drops, electric surges, or other damages. They inform me I may take it to a local repair center that HP authorizes. The local repair shop replaces an SD drive. Within an hour of bringing it home, it is blue screening and showing another error message saying the BIOS is corrupted. I asked HP if they could replace my laptop or if I could get a refund. They informed me that because it is customized, they would refund me a prorated amount based on how long I have had the laptop. At this point, it has been a year and a half. I havelast used the laptop six months ago raveled internationally and could not immediately send it in for repairs.) They informed me that they would not replace it because it is customized. Additionally, they offer me a $600 refund for a laptop that cost me nearly $2,000. I have just taken the laptop to the repair center for the third time in addition to having sent it off for repairs by HP. I cannot recommend anyone getting an HP and if you do, get the warranty so they can reimburse you for a fraction of the purchasing price. TLDR; The laptop worked for a year and has become nonfunctional even after several repairs. HP offered a $600 reimbursement for a nearly $2,000 laptop and refused to provide a replacement.
