Don't Bother unless you want cheap and slow
Keyboard is stiff and wobbly, the processor is slow.....the ONLY good thing about this laptop is that it's lightweight and cheap.

Great value!
Would be a five if the keyboard was better. But for the price point, it's fine.
Easily upgradable. HP reliability. Third HP in a roll.

No touch screen - returned
Unfortunately, I sent it back unopened. I found it didn't have a touch screen which was required by the person I ordered it for. Return went successful. Wasn't pleased with the $50 "restocking fee" since I ordered another with the touch screen at the same time I called for the return authorization. Other than that, the replacement is okay and working fine.

Overpriced but works well for basic internet using
Doesn't have touchscreen, no backlit keyboard, it's small and compact, works well so far. It's super overpriced for the limited amount of things you get ..

Ideal combo of things I needed without paying for things I didn't.
This laptop was ideally configured for what I needed for a great price. I don't need all the bells and whistles and it was great to find exactly what I needed without paying for a bunch of stuff I didn't. Nice to be able to upgrade storage as an option. Good combo of USB ports at this transitional point in time.

Don't buy here
I didn't receive what I ordered and after attempting to find out how to return it I discovered that this company sells things from third party vendors! My laptop was sold by a company in a different country. There is no phone number or website to do a return, only a return address. I'm not going to just mail the laptop back with documentation of an accepted return and statement saying I'll get a refund. The HP website has no record on its website of my purchase. The AI customer service chat was no help. I thought HP would be a reliable company with reliable return policies. It turns out it's just like a big box store that nowadays facilitates online sales from odd companies. I didn't get what I expected and want to return it for a full refund but now there is no way to return it for a refund. What a waste of money and a huge mistake to trust this company.

Leave some things alone!
Why do you have to change everything? For years, the power button has been on the Left side of the keyboard. Most of us are used to that, and it is very disconcerting to have it on the Right side. It is fairly light weight, which is good. I don't know why when I set the resolution to the 'recommended' 150% the websites are huge, i.e., 130% of normal, when I reduce the resolution, the Outlook files are tiny. There seems to be NO happy medium

The laptop is NOT like the picture. It does not have the side number pad. No where on the page does the description say it is not as the picture looks. And there is no return. Customer service is not helpful. And doesn't speak clear English. I was NOT happy.

Accessing the Desktop when multiple file are open.
Hiding the Show Desktop button in the extreme lower right corner is jut DUMB.
My last HP laptop was far better when a right click anywhere on the toolbar brought up the command. Fix it!

This laptop is the perfect size and quick. My 10 yr old HP was feeling it's age and testing my patience so enter the grandchild. Using it for all the usual things plus taxes and a bit of research. So far, it does not disappoint.

Wife likes it.
I bought this laptop for my wife to replace the one she has had for a few years. I got it in blue because it is her favorite color. The black keyboard is so much easier to read than the silver one was. She mostly surfs the internet, and uses Facebook along with Skype. The base model meets her needs perfectly, and the improved battery life with faster charging is a plus. I am the one in the house that takes care of maintenance and repairs of the computers, and am happy that I can easily download a user and service manual. First thing I did was remove the bottom cover, and discovered that I don't have to remove the foot strips to access the screws anymore! I also like to loosen the hinges a touch to help prevent future seizing, and was pleased with the new hinge design that allows adjustment without having to remove the display to access the hinge nuts. I currently own the 17" version of this base laptop with the Ryzen 3 processor, and have been pleased with what I got for the price I paid.

Good product
The lap top is good as I up graded for speed, windows 11 and something lighter for travel. The transfer was smooth and it appeared user friendly. Should have got a numbers key board. To date no issues, just required some new apps for printer use even though it was HP. Like the HP product.

Good computer
Like this computer but it drops internet connection often and sometime it hard to connect to internet. When it is connected it is fast. I would buy again.
