GREAT Laptop.
I am loving my new HP Laptop. I had the pavilion G6 for over 10 years and it served me well. That goes without saying that HP computers are great quality and they last longer than the typical 5 years.

Stay on top of your financial and life plan
Based on my research and what I use it for, this laptop was the best choice for me. I use it to manage my investments and my financial plan. I also have written a few financial management "books" for my family members. I have a big photo collection that I use this laptop to manage. I also keep a daily journal, and am currently writing my memoirs for my wife and I to use to take a trip down memory lane as we get old.
So nice size for portability. The right amount of RAM (16GB) and memory (1TB) for my needs. Easy download of Word and Excel which I use everyday and enough memory for my huge photo collection.

Great laptop!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my new laptop! It is perfect for school and personal use. The only con that I have is that the mouse pad sticks just a tiny bit, making it difficult to highlight one particular word vs a paragraph. Nevertheless, I love my HP device!

Never arrived - a fedex problem became an HP problem and customer service failed.
Never received due to being stuck with FedEx for weeks. When I contacted HP, I was transferred 3 times and hung up and twice. Called again and the CSR did the thing where you pretend you can't hear and hung up - I was a CSR, so familiar with that trick. Your employees must hate something about how it's run - people do that when the call ctr is a nightmare. Only got a response when I filed a dispute with my credit card. 6 weeks later and I don't know if it's resolved. Could be the best laptop in the world, but I'm never buying an HP product again.

Very basic machine
The laptop is pretty basic for home usage - internet browsing, Excel/Word/etc, watchong movie. NO Gaming like Fortnite even with lowest settings!

Ease with Setup
I got home just a few days ago and I've been working on it. As soon as I was able to download Google Chrome, everything came back up and now I'm running smoothly. I did have to change my internet provider and that made a big difference. I guess you do get what you pay for. I'm 70 years of age but I've been operating computers since 1995 so it wasn't to difficult to figure out. I am thrilled with my new purchase and would recommend HP to anyone looking to buy.

HP Laptop review
I found this new laptop is a dream to use. Everything setup and installed the updates with ease. All my files and programs worked with no issues on this new laptop. It's really light weight compared to my old one. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the wireless mouse. I'm sure that will work just fine if and when I need it.

Three times a Charm
Already have 2 HP laptops. Unfortunately one is starting to go..Just purchased this 15.6 screen .The colors are fantastic and machine is so quick compared to my two other laptops. Perfect addition and easy to set-up when it arrived

This laptop is well worth the price and HP is a wonderful brand. I have a printer from 2012 that's still running smoothly. I'm not computer literate and this laptop has a lot of bells and whistles I have yet to discover. I wish I could get the hang on how to reduce the screen when it expands and I'm not sure what I did to make it do that.

Mixed Feelings: Product Delivers, But Offer Falls Short!!
I was initially excited to purchase this product due to the quality and the enticing promotional offer. The product itself is excellent-well-designed, reliable, and meets my expectations. However, the experience around the offer was disappointing and felt misleading.
I now feel the promotional offer was more of a gimmick than a genuine incentive. While I appreciate the product, the handling of the offer has left a bad impression.
Recommendation: Great product, but be cautious of promotional offers attached-it's not always as it seems.

I strayed from h.p. once and NEVER AGAIN as they offer great tech support as well as customer service. H.P computers allow you the freedom to do whatever you want/need while others limit you. From now on, I will never stray from H.P. again!

Great for its price
Very good value for this product. I got it for 750 dollars, which is by far the cheapest laptop of this calibre. This low price tag comes at a cost, however, which is the lower battery life and mediocre build quality. The battery lasts around 1 work day if the activity on it isn't too intense, and the build is full plastic. If you have the money, I would recommend going slightly higher end.

False advertising on battery life
The specs section of the sales page states battery life of up to 10 hours of use, as well as 11 hours of video playback, so I bought this for my son to use for high school. Simply taking notes in class with this device and the battery is down for the count in about THREE HOURS. That's nowhere near the supposed rating of battery life for this device. Even if it was off by 40% and managed six hours, that could at least get a high school student through one full day of classes on a full charge. Silly of me not to research this one more before purchasing, but once I spoke to tech support who said there's no way that battery would get 10 hours, and sales support who agreed that boast 10 hours while delivering 3 hours is unacceptable. A bit of research out of curiosity once my refund was approved did in fact yield this to be a common problem with HP laptops. I've been a satisfied customer of several HP products over the years, but as far as laptops go, now that I've gone Mac (book Air), I'm not going back.

Small keyboard
The keyboard is small and shifted to the left to accommodate a full number pad on the right. If this was an option while building the device, the description of options was not clear. This makes typing uncomfortable and frustrating.

HP laptop
If I could give a -5 star, I would. My laptop came damaged, and I was on the phone for 1hr, 37 minutes getting transferred to 5 different people, and not one could help. Finally, after losing that much time from my life, after a long day at work, one woman said she would refund my money. Why would I ever want to work with a company that can't help me, if I ever had to troubleshoot. It's been a month, and I still haven't seen my refund. HP is horrible!!!

Meets expectations.
So far it's done exactly what I've asked of it. However I am concerned about it's future proofing, as there seems little way of upgrading, and there were no options available at purchase. I would have liked the option of more memory, and an available 2.5" drive slot with which to increase local storage. Would be 4/5 stars otherwise.
