I received the laptop and the screen didn't work; the computer would turn on and you could hear it running, but the there was a failure and the screen malfunctioned (used HMDI cord to verify that it worked on my tv and was just the screen). So I bought a gift for my daughter and received a defective product. I initiated a return (some reason this has to be handled under warranty even though it was defective) and am coming up on two weeks without the replacement shipping. This is beyond frustrating. Test your products better and act with more urgency when addressing/replacing your product.

It is very sad to admit, but I have to say creating my Custom HP Laptop became a buying nightmare and emotional rollercoaster. I was so excited to get a new custom laptop after 13 years and my 1st experience creating my Custom HP Laptop was a dream, so I thought with a 24 month Financing promotion if the order was $2500 or more was perfect. I had already went through HP's configuration to choose the right specs for my Laptop, the external hardware, different warranties and software needed to help my mom with her business such as the Adobe Photoshop 2026 Premier Elements and Microsoft Office Home 2024, but I really wanted a 1 TB hard drive. So after finishing the laptop configuration I asked for help online via HP chat to see if the Laptop model I chose could have a 1 TB hard drive and the HP representative told me that they had this one in the same Model, but different series and the price would be the same. However, it only came in one Silver color and not the Pink Rose Gold I had previously chosen, but stated again the price was still the same. I told her it would be perfect and I wanted everything else the same. What she failed to tell me is that she had no visibility to see the specs I had previously chosen during the HP Configuration process, so she chose different specs for my laptop without permission or consent and made me think everything was the same with the upgrade. I really thought the HP representative had my best interest at heart. The real kicker is that I sent her a screenshot that had all the HP specs I chose for the Laptop even though I was not aware she had no visibility of what I chose while going through HP Configuration Process. I did get the 1 TB hard drive, but she did not include the Adobe Photoshop 2026 Premier Elements, Microsoft Office Home 2024 Software, 3 Year Term License and the 36 month M+ Premium Individual, which defeated the purpose of getting a customized computer and didn't give me the tools I needed to help my mom with her business. A few days after paying through HP Financing and before assembly I tried to get Customer Service Support to fix these major issues, but another Customer Service Support Rep stated she would check with hér team to see if they could make the changes but said they couldn't after order went through and that she was sorry for any problems it caused and for not getting what I originally asked for. I was told I could get the changes if I paid the additional costs. This is where I also found out the HP Customer Service Support Representative that changed my order didn't have visibility of what I selected on HP Configuration Page, but failed to inform me. Very Disappointed!

A lightweight, good, and fast computer - missing a lighted keyboard and an Ethernet connection. As for setup - as with most computers the ads, subscription offers, and preloaded junk make setup always annoying.

The design is the same as every other midrange HP consumer grade laptop. I do enjoy the matte display option with touch though, as well as the backlit keyboard, the camera is solid, speakers are, laptop speakers, egh. I like the weight, it's light. Some complaints, firstly; What is up with this battery life? Sure, it's an i7, but if i am surfing the web or writing a paper, there is no reason the battery should be critical in less than 2 hours. There is no dedicated GPU, iris graphics is notoriously mediocre, even at the high end. Though, there is a great excuse, Raptor Lake CPUs are built on a TEN NANOMETER PROCESS. Insane how far behind intel is. Honestly it makes sense this laptop is on such a sale right now. Not HPs fault, but i would steer clear of this if your priority is batterylife and efficiency. Else, get the AMD equivelent. Also, its original price was over 1K. At 1K i shouldn't have a plastic body, personal opinion, though i would argue valid.

New computers are exciting? except for setting it up! Have it now for a couple of weeks? updated the new Windows 11 and have spent many frustrating hours attempting to set it up? have not used it yet since I need guidance to get the simplest things like email set up. Cannot figure out how to get icons/applications on the screen.
