Extremely well made, fast laptop. Excellent case. Needs more speed for specialty applications.

This excellent laptop has a heavy duty, heat absorbing aluminum case that is very high quality, yet it is just the right weight, not too light, not to heavy; it has a powerful internal fan for cooling; its excellent screen produces a high quality display without needing the pixel shifting and other cpu-loading screen preserving functions that are required with OLED screens; and its 28W Intel Core 5 Ultra 125H processor is very fast and runs at 100% processor power on task manager performance monitor, in a 14" laptop form. So why did I return this laptop? Only because I needed a LOT of processing power with a language modeling project I was doing with tensor flow. Had this fantastic laptop come with a Core 7 Ultra 265H, a really fast processor that is also rated at a full 28 watts in 14" format, it likely would've been sufficient for my needs. I would have gladly paid $899 - 999 for such a machine with 16 - 32 GB RAM. You shouldn't have to go to an overpriced gaming or business laptop to get a lot of work done. I should point out that HP makes this laptop just heavy enough to sit still on a desk without moving around, and to easily withstand a lot of palm pressure on the case without any flexing. It is very durable.

Great Machine, Could Do Without the Marketing Software

Setup of my new Pavilion laptop was straightforward and painless. I am very happy with the performance of the machine so far, and am particularly glad I opted for the OLED display - it is bright and crisp. The only downside experienced in the initial use of my machine is the pre-loaded HP and McAfee software. There are far too many popups interrupting my work, and trying to sell me additional products. HP should make these programs only activated when the owner requests them. I purchased my machine to do work, not to be a marketing opportunity for HP and McAfee.

Decent and Affordable for Home User

Overall it's a decent, affordable choice for a home user. Mine has 16 GB RAM, making it much more responsive than my previous HP Elitebook that had only 8 GB. Two things that could be improved are the the sound output level is and the touchpad. Even at maximum setting, the sound level is inadequate. Compared to my previous Elitebook, the touchpad on the Pavilion Plus Laptop 14t-ew100 is rather clunky and unresponsive, especially with the click function, so I have to use a wireless mouse instead.

Excellent PC laptop

I bought this for my wife because her last laptop had a screen that was horrible. I can attest that the OLED screen on this unit is indeed bright and beautiful. It runs very fast for normal everyday use, the webcam and microphone are made for Zoom meetings, and has enough storage for the normal user. Great price too.

Terrible Service

Received laptop that didn't work. Customer service (after an hour on phone) told me to mail it in and I'd receive a new one with expedited shipping in 2 biz days. It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received new laptop.

First and last HP

I cant find an keyboard covers of shell covers for this laptop. Its like this model is outdated. This laptop is also very loud. Theres a loud whirring sound when the fan kicks on. I requested a refund and instead i was sent tech support contact information.

Noisy fan renders PC unusable

The laptop's fan has a high pitch whine and is quite annoying. Perhaps I have better hearing than some people, but this PC cannot be used. I returned it after a long conversation with technical support. Note that the computer was on a laptop stand with good ventilation and the ambient temperature was about 72F. The CPU load was normal. There were a number of other complaints about the fan on-line. HP product management needs to pay attention. If an obvious problem like fan noise can cause users to return a PC, what other issues are hidden in this model or other HP models?

Underwhelming

It's a couple days since getting this PC and it's been underwhelming. I must say I got carried away by the few features I could customise like processor and storage. However, I missed a few details. One, it's not a touchscreen display which I thought I was buying. More importantly, the battery lasts like 4hrs of use.

New laptop.

So far, I like it. It seems smaller, though I'm sure the screen size is the same as my last one. It looks more sleek. I liked the color of my last one better. Similar, but sligtly to the bronze tone while this one is silver. I like the new logo. The keyboard feels better to my fingers. I like that. The transition of data has been relatively smooth, but I'm having trouble with getting this laptop to recognize my Office Jet Pro 9015e printer, not to mention I can't figure out how to get my subcription to Grammarly switched over. This being Thanksgiving week, I'm sure doesn't help, since I can't call anybody.
