Owning a customized HP Pavilion
This is my fifth Pavilion and I am always very happy with them! This time I had the chance of buying a customized one. During years I was observing at HP's website that it was possible to customize a laptop and this time, when replacing a still very good other Pavilion, I did it. I was worried about the delivery timeframe because they ask for a larger time when you customize it. But it arrived much sooner than the expected. I decided for a Sky Blue color and I am completely in love with it. I was able to modify configurations and I have a powerful 2TB NvMe SSD storage.
The only thing I got a little disappointed with was that when receiving a customized unit, I was expecting a letter with my name on it, showing the special customized configurations I have chosen or at least a personalized material but nothing was in the box.
Everything else was fine. I am still trying to adapt myself with the little smaller keys on the keyboard. My previous Pavilion was from 2016 and this brand new one has some tiny keys, I am still trying to adapt.

Nice laptop overall but not what i ordered
i was happy to find a gaming laptop at a great price, i placed my order and it took an unusually long time even though i had made no modifications to anything (over a month to receive it even though the website stated a 5-7 day delivery) Once i received it i was disappointed to find out the laptop i received did not have the same specs as the one i placed an order for. I contacted customer service and was told that i had mistakenly received a laptop with the wrong graphics card and for an additional cost i could return it and they would upgrade the laptop for me, because i am financing any changes made to the laptop would void my agreement and risk my chances of being approved again. I dont feel like i should pay an additional cost for a mistake not made by me, and i dont want to risk voiding my financing agreement. The agent offered to see if the tech dept would do a free upgrade since it was a mistake on their part, that was over a month ago and i have heard nothing back. Its a decent laptop but not what i purchased.

Good performance for everyday tasks and multitasking.
Clear and bright 16-inch 2K display with anti-glare.
Slim design and solid build quality with a backlit keyboard.
Offers good value for its price.
the battery life to be impressive.
The cooling fan can be noisy.
Suitable for general computing, browsing, streaming, office work, and light creative tasks.
Keyboard and trackpad are generally comfortable.

Excellent communication and teamwork which helped solve the customer issue at hand.
After an "issue" developed with the carrier for the shipping of the HP equipment unit; the HP customer service resolution team was able to take care of a problem that arose which was beyond their hands with the outside vendor.

Nice laptop, easy setup, happy with purchase.
Very nice laptop. I ordered through chat to get exactly what I was looking for. Took some time to find the right model and docking station that were compatible. The only extra software that came installed was McAfee which was easy to uninstall. There was virtually no setup to do after that other then install Office, install my other programs and move my files. Very good screen resolution. Very fast startup. Keys seem a little bigger or it's just the font used. Happy with my purchase.

Adequate Performance, Solidly Put Together, Good Screen Quality, Cooling Fan Runs A Lot
After two months. I have the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce MX570 graphics and 1T SSD. Adequate performance and storage for my needs (not a gamer, not much video editing and I mostly use the usual office and internet applications). Laptop looks to be solidly put together. No issues with screen quality. Battery performance is OK, but less than I expected, maybe because the cooling fan seems to run a lot. I understand that the processor and other electronic components have strict cooling needs, especially in a confined space. I am running in Best Power Efficiency mode while on battery. Despite the flaws, so far, I am ok with my purchase.

The Hp computer functions well but it is difficult to open the lid. This action would be made easier if there was a small opening between the lid and the base which would allow fingers to more securely grasp them. The hinges are very tight making it more difficult to open the lid. Maybe this will improve with use. The factory warranty process was poor. When I checked with HP support it said my factory warranty had expired even though the laptop was only 2 weeks old. I had to call Hp 3 times to get this problem resolved. This is a problem that should not have happened and required substantial effort on my part to resolve. On a positive note, the computer runs well and there have been no issues so far. I have concerns about the reviews I read on line about HP hinge problems. The internet community states that HP stands for hinge problem. I guess I will have to wait and see if these reviews are true or not.

I like it!
I'm overall really happy with this laptop! It handles all of my daily tasks along with light gaming really well, and I like how lightweight it is. My only complaint is that the speakers are really quiet, and I have to change the volume by a lot in order to hear a difference. I think that's a product of the speakers being on the underside of the laptop, which seems strange to me.

Decent laptop with too few ports
This 16 inch laptop was a good value for the sale price. The screen is bright and the keyboard is large. There are a few challenges that make it less than ideal. There is no RJ 45 network port. The number of USB A ports is very limited. One of the USB C ports is used for the power connection. Given the small number of USB A ports and the absence of a network port, we purchased a 13 port docking station to connect a USB printer, mouse, keyboard, LED light for the non-backlit keyboard and an RJ 45 network port. Those ports should have been included in the base configuration and an option for a backlit keyboard should have been as well. While convenient to have an HDMI port and a built-in camera, the utility of the laptop was significantly diminished by the small number of USB A ports and the lack of a network port.

Great laptop for personal use.
This is a great laptop for personal use - it's lightweight and boots-up quickly. My wife uses it for e-mail, streaming online news, and photos. The initial set-up went smoothly. The price reduction was a major plus in my decision to buy it. I would definitely recommend this laptop for similar uses.

Good product
I ordered this laptop, the first I have purchased in many years, to control a CNC router. I did not need heavy graphics capacity, and I don't really use the laptop for any other purpose, opting to use my desktop for most daily activities. That said, the quality of build is very good. Setup and ongoing maintenance is easy (just remember to have the laptop plugged in during updates), operation has been flawless. My only word of caution is that units are "made-on-demand" so when picking your options just be aware that you can encounter delays. Mine was delayed about 10 days beyond the outside promised delivery date. This was frustrating and the process required to interact with someone that could provide an accurate status report was not the best experience.

New updates for me!
My new HP Pavilion 16 is great, and I am enjoying it all of the available features. It has been easy so far and I am learning new tricks every day. A variety of tools I can use for pleasure or for business.

Problem with Wi-Fi
Problem with Wi-Fi. Not working well.
Tried to reload the driver as well as updates with no improvement. Plenty of Wi-Fi signal to my other computer in the same area.

I am very pleased with HP products, including our printer and new laptop. But set up of a new laptop and transfer from an old laptop to a new one should be easier!

HP laptop
Be careful with HP laptops. I've been purchasing for the past 10 years. I'm a business owner and use 15 and 20 laptops a year. The past year and a half laptops have been failing whether it's no power or screen issues but I have 10 laptops that are out of warranty barely and they want to charge you $695 to fix either the power issue or the screen issue we can buy a brand new laptop for 695

Big Mistake
I cannot express the extent of my disappointment in HP and the Pavilion Notebook. Based on my experience with a brand new HP laptop, I would never recommend HP or their products. There is absolutely no support whatsoever. I expected HP to provide top notch assistance and that any initial set up issues would be dealt with and corrected. But sadly, nothing could be further than the truth. I am just stunned at the treatment I have received to date and will not be purchasing any HP products in the future.
