I had hoped to solve my printer alignment problem -- purchased 2 new print heads and made sure that I have all of the colours useable. Sad to say, I still cannot get the printer aligned - but it does print very well - I just have a waste piece of paper with a few bars of colour printed and need to cancel to attempt to align the system .... At least I can print again, but I am wasting a LOT of paper & ink :(

HP wants to sell you supplies but if your printer is out of warranty, will screen you from any support other than Robo. Despite spending over $200 on cartridges and heads, they tell me to find a user group for help. Avoid HP.

Print head came in a reasonable time, but will not align. I found the engineer's menu and set it so it doesn't constantly try to align. It's aligned, just doesn't "know" it.

The printhead was the problem with the printer not printing. However, the printer itself did not self diagnose the problem. I just deduced it.

I had no idea what it costs to replace the printerheads but, after replacing both of them in my Officejet Pro 8500A it is functioning like a brand new printer! I Thank you HP. Very disappointed that this model was discontinued but I'm glad that toner and printheads are still available. Thank you again. Very satisfied.

This print head immediately resolved my printing issues. The tests said the original print head was working. However I saw that it was well beyond the use by date. I printed for many years on the old print head so took a leap of faith that this was causing my printer problems. Well worth the money so another good printer did not go to our landfills.

I bought an expired off ebay and it lasted a few weeks - so bought off HP and now seems to work better.

The printer's test cycle and HP"s Scan Doctor told me this printhead was bad. I ordered a replacement and it came in two days. Unfortunately, the Printhead alignment cycle keeps repeating and fails. I have cleaned the contacts for both printheads to no avail. I must need a geek to help me solve the problem.

Last printhead changeout was 3 years ago so no complaints. I order direct from HP as they include a prepaid mailer to recycle the old ones. Excellent.
