This Photo ink cartridge is such a unique product. You get excellent photos with beautiful subtle range of colour that dry fast with a hard durable finish. Really moisture resistant. Of course the draw back with ink jet printers is the results do go grainy when the cartridge gets old. Too bad the hp 59 for B&W photos is not available anymore. REALLY, REALLY disappointed that there isn't a photo ink cartridge available for any of the new model hp printers. Which is why I've delayed upgrading. The "water resistant" regular inks, fine for paper printing, leave a lot to be desired for photos. There is no comparison.

This ink makes a great finish of colors for my old photosmart 7960 printer Thanks HP for the great inks . They also dry extremely fast for quick handling.. Really can't make the best pictures without it. I also use a tricolor HP 57 which is also important.but best along with HP 58.

I'd been buying replacement cartridges at Walmart. That was alright but it was an ordeal and they didn't keep the stock up to date. I asked a salesperson to see if they could find the right cartridges. It was like trying to get a phone call to the director of the CIA. So then I saw online a forum wherein someone said you could buy direct from HP. I had done that once before, long ago, but had forgotten about it. Maybe I'm getting senile. Or maybe now I'm recovered. I was amazed at how fast the cartridges arrived and they were hi-cap cartridges--exactly the right thing. There was no charge for shipping. I didn't think I'd get them the day after I ordered since I ordered online and late in the evening. HP does it right. The printer I have is an old all-in-one 5610 series and it's been great too. HP also sent me a discount coupon for my next purchase and I'm sure that will be HP direct also. I will never become senile again.

Don't even think about trying another cheaper brand that says it's the same. They're definitely not, and this one is the best, so why do anything less?

I have owned my HP Photosmart 7150 Printer since about 2005 and have always used HP ink cartridges. I find they provide excellent quality printing of photos and last a long time without drying out prematurely even going months without use. I will continue using HP cartridges.

HP Ink from HP lasts significantly longer. We all know this. Every purchase/gift of mine of HP57 and HP58 ink lasts at least twice as long as cartridges from other sellers. My last eBay purchase looked just right, "new genuine" etc., but I now have two projects unfinished because I ran out of ink very quickly. I'm frustrated and irritated at trying the "deals". I must remember that it is SMARTEST to buy HP57 and HP58 ink cartridges directly from HP!

The HP58 Photo ink is fantastic. I take a lot of photos and print many of them. Colors are outstanding. Would never trust anything other than original HP ink in my printers.
