HP no longer offers support for B9180 printer

Happy with the ink and performance of the B9180 printer which I have used successfully since it was first introduced. At this point ink is in limited supply (B&H appears to have the best supply). Why has HP apparently stopped production of ink cartridges to support the B9180 printer? Because of the lack of support, my next single use (photography) printer will most likely not be HP

HP does not support the cartridge anymore,

It works great, how do I get replacement when all inventory is gone! will some one else support the ink cartridge or do I just throw away a good printer?

Inks, heads expire; are exhausted

3 major cost problems: 1. The printer performs daily maintenance twice a day which uses up the ink even if you don't print anything 2. The inks expire and the printer won't let you print if they've been in your printer for too long 3. The print heads expire and need to be expensively replaced (fortunately 1 head per 2 ink colors)
