Dang, I wish I'd gotten the dn model

I'm VERY hard on printers. We used up a 2600n in about 2-1/2 years. Since it wasn't economically worthwhile to repair it, we bought the 4700n. Other than the fact that it will take you two men and a boy to lift and place this printer where you want it, I see no downside. We print hundreds of two-sided birthday & other greeting cards to send our clients monthly and they all rave over the quality. Our brochures are the talk of our local business community. We even print our own business cards for less than a commercial printer. So much less that we are starting to print cards for others, AT A PROFIT!!! LOL We've used the heck out of this printer for over half a year and we still have approx. 50% of our toner cartridges left. AMAZING!! Now, to be honest. we ONLY use it for printing when color is a necessity. We have separate printers for B/W. If you want OUTSTANDING color, miserly consumables use and day-in & day-out consistently high quality color printing, this is the printer for you. (just get the DN so you have auto duplexing too)!!!!! LOL

After the first one was shipped to me open carton and broken, I was skeptical. But the second one came intact, and I opened it after a week's delay, contemplating returning it. When I finally oped it and plugged it in, it worked perfectly right off the bat, and I was very pleased with my purchase.

Really fast Printer

Replaced a HP 4500 with this thing. It is awesome. Quick warm up time, very fast printing. It seems like the color and black and white pages print at the same speed 30 pages per minute. It also prints 2-sided, but I havn't figured out how to get WORD to work properly. I can start a 40 page document with about 20-30 images and by the time I get over to the printer is's almost done. Much much nicer than the 4500.
