We have a new 7640 printer. We are trying to print Christmas cards and they keep coming out of focus and stay wet. The printer recommends Color Lok. We paid $23.00 for something that will not work in this printer.

I purchased the 4x6 in the soft gloss and have no problems. The 5x7 in the glossy finish gets stuck in my printer and I have wasted lots of paper. I wish you would make the 5x7 in the soft gloss!

I had been using HP Premium Plus [High Glossy] Photo Paper for many, many years and considered it the best photo paper on the market. In fact, it had been my absolute favorite photo paper!! (I used it personally and professionally.) So therefore, it came as a horrifying shock to see the result of the "new" and "improved" HP Premium Plus Photo Paper. In the middle of printing whole bunch of my photographic works, I finally running out of my last box of HP Premium Plus [High Glossy] Paper. Opened the newly purchased Premium Plus one (husband ordered it for me) I did notice it had stated "glossy" instead of "high gloss" on the box. "Well.. it shouldn't be too much of a deal..." Wrong! I was terribly shocked after the photo was printed!!!!! How could the quality be so different? There is no comparison - heaven and h*ll (which was exactly how I felt while looking at the same photo printed on two same/different paper literally two minutes before and after.) My heart dropped all the way to rock bottom..., for I still had a tremendous amount of photographic work that needed to be printed and I need them to have a consistent quality. After reading the reviews and HP's "new printing instruction," I gave it a try. Still disappointed. The quality is clearly different; there's also color-shifting. Though HP also recommends HP Premium Photo Paper for those who were previously using old HP Premium Plus Photo Paper and want a photo paper most similar to that type, based on my personal experience, they still do not come close. We got Premium Photo Paper by accident before and I ended up throwing the whole box away because it could not match the quality I found from [old] Premium Plus Photo Paper. I needed that quality - if not the same, at least similar. Unfortunately I did not find it on Premium Photo Paper and not on the new Premium Plus, either. Now I am in a deep, deep trouble, because we now have seven boxes of the "new" & "improved" Premium Plus Photo Paper that I cannot use and I need to find something that can match the quality of the old one in order to continue and finish printing the rest of the works... For so many years, I/we loved HP Premium Plus [High Gloss] Photo Paper and had always trusted you. HP really does break my heart this time. Very sad, and disappointed. Please bring the old HP Premium Plus Photo Paper back!!

I've been using this new photo paper on my HP Envy 110 411a and have nothing but satisfying results with the printouts. I know there have been some complaints from other reviewers regarding this new paper. HP's solution for folks with older printers(purchased before October, 2011) is to change the settings to HP Advanced Photo Papers which should improve the results. I have been using the normal setting of HP Premium Plus Photo Paper and the results speak for themselves. I hope this helps the folks having issues. If you have a newer printer, leave the settings like they should be and enjoy.

I completely agree with the post from December 30th. I have used this paper for years and now it is garbage compared to what it used to be! I do a lot of printing at home and now I'll have to send out my 5x7s to be printed. Please go back to the way the paper used to be!!!!

maybe it is the fact that I am using HP 02 inks, or it is the 3210 All In One printer, but this paper is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot begin to compare to the old premium plus or even to the premium paper. I have the same print on both papers, looking at them side by side, and it is pitiful. The blacks are not black, the over-all print is not dark enough, has a greenish cast, extremely poor quality. Unfortunately, the premium photo paper is not available in 5x7, and I am stuck with this so-called new and improved premium plus. It is the major reason I am looking to purchase an Epson printer now and ditching this. Which is a shame, because this has been a pretty good printer over the 2 or 3 years I've had it.
