When my favorite warehouse store no longer carried HP 61XL ink cartridges, I made the mistake of purchasing the equivalent from a well known online seller. While it was a reasonable cost, the quality was very poor and created shadow ink stains on each page. Very grateful to have such prompt shipping to receive my HP black ink cartridge.

Too expensive, will not buy another HP printer. The ink cost more than the printer.

I'm not sure there's more ink in this. It may be making the print darker so yes more ink is on the page but not more ink in the cartridge. At least that is what it appears.

Of the dual pack color and B/W ink cartridges purchased 01/20 only the B/W will work. The printer will not recognize the color cartridge the way it will not recognize private brands. HP offered no replacement or refund.

Purchased to have on hand for a spare. Have never had any problems with HP products. This is the only brand of ink I buy.

Someone has yet to explain to me why these cartridges should cost over $60.The tech is old, so it's not $$ being spent on developing a new technology. They're small. There isn't a huge amount of ink in the cartridge. The ink itself isn't some exotic and expensive concoction, So. WHY?

67 Ink cartridges are reasonable in price, however the 2800 series all in one printer that I bought is not that great. Sorry I bought it. Nothing but problems with it.

I have been using the HP 61 cartridge for at least 10 years with zero problems. My HP printer and HP laptops have been very reliable. Back in November 2025, I purchased a cartridge which would not work properly. I was unsure whether it was my relatively old HP printer or the cartridge. Purchased a new cartridge and it worked perfectly so I assumed the first one was defective. I assumed it would be a simple matter to call HP customer service, explain the situation and have them replaced the defective cartridge. Not so. I made several calls and wound up with either tech support or the ordering department. Each pointed to the other and I was never able to get a replacement. I'm quite disappointed in HP. Thought they would be able to do a better job of customer service.

Functions without issues. Hard to find these 61XL cartridges singularly, impossible to find double packs. Outrageously expensive. Almost cheaper to just buy a new printer.
