Tank printer

Not certain of others' experiences with this model of printer but it has been the best one I have ever bought/sued in a small one-man business operation. We have never had a glitch with it once. It is almost 6 years old and all we have done is feed it paper and ink! Printing flip feeds either way on both sides, no matter what...it has not let us down.

EXCELLENT PRINTER HANDS DOWN!

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRINTER (ENVY 5660) FOR OVER 5 YEARS AND BY FAR THE BEST PRINTER I HAVE OWNED. I HAVE HAD EPSON CANON AND OLDER HP MODELS BUT THIS ONE TOPS THEM ALL. VERY EASY TO SETUP ON LAPTOP, TABLET OR SMART PHONE. MY WIFE AND USE IT ALL THE TIME. PRINT FAST AND HAS NEVERED FAILED US. HP PLEASE CONTINUE TO BUILD PRODUCT LIKE THIS. I FEEL THIS ONE WILL LAST US FOR MANY MORE YEAR TO COME.

5 Years - No Complaints!

I bought this printer 5 years ago and it has never given me any problems. I love it. The ink lasts, the printing is clear, I can access it from anywhere in my home. It also scans and copies flawlessly. All the photos in my home are printed from this printer. I never have to use printing services unless I'm faxing and i love that.

WARNING-DO NOT BUY

It constantly disconnects from your computer, so you will never be able to print. Sometimes when IT FINALLY does it does not print correctly. I am very good with technology and this is horrible.

Drivers for Windows 8

I was in a hurry to get a printer and stopped by Best Buy. I picked out this printer and did not notice the drivers were for Windows 8. This printer is constantly not found by my PC now and after some light usage I would say the printing images are skewed and the printer is actually ruined somehow.

Fine for printing emails

I bought the 5660 after looking at reviews from small business that claimed this to be a good printer for light printing, with scanning and photo capability. Its fine if you need to print text documents and emails. Stay away if you need to print photos. I have gone through multiple forums, followed all the recommendations and i can not get this printer to print without streaking. Waste of ink.

DO NOT BUY!

Apparently HP doesn't know how to build devices that stay connected wirelessly! This piece of junk constantly loses connection to the wireless network - when nothing else in the house has a problem staying connected. Avoid this printer unless you want a printer that requires that you go through the "Add A Printer" process everytime you want to print. Oh and it doesn't do that process well either.

dont buy!

I've had this printer for a while now and so much has gone wrong with it even when we barely used it. we bought it so we could have a wireless printer and not have to run our laptops to the printer just to print something and now the wireless feature is broken and I've tried every option to fix it and nothing works and now we are down to using like a regular old wired printer, the most recent problem is that even when the paper is full the printer says you need to refill the tray after printing on paper but when you turn off and turn it back on it prints one sheet then says its empty

Wish I could give it zero stars...

I've had this printer for just over a year now. I have had constant issues with wireless connectivity. It NEVER works. The features are great... if you even get a chance to use them. This printer also runs out of ink faster than any other printer I have ever used. I've spent almost 3x what I paid for the printer just on ink! Don't waste your money.

Worst Printer Purchase Ever!

Save your money! I purchased this printer on clearance and it was the worst decision. It ran out of ink the first day after only printing 12 color pages. I've paid less for printers and the ink has lasted for months! Stay away.

I find this Great!

I have had my HPEnvy 5660 for a couple of years and I find it does a great job. I use Instant Ink and find this really suits my needs. It does a super job in colour or black and white. I have no trouble printing on cardstock as I frequently used it to make for posters for an organization that I belong to.

Don't Do It!

This printer cannot print photos and has been a complete disappointment since I purchased it. Many times I cannot print because I get the message "the printer is not responding". I signed up for Instant Ink but whats the point if I can't print? I miss my Canon that worked many years without fail and printed beautiful quality photos. I thought I would upgrade to a wireless printer and thought this was a good deal. I was so wrong.

Horrible black ink capacity

This printer #62 black ink is horrible.. spending almost $20 for ink this past weekend..printed about 70pages and Ink is empty ..unbelievable...This needs to be rectified... I am tired of wasting my money on a product (HP) I’ve always trusted and the only name I use or buy.

Very poor products and service

HP used to be a great company and used to offer good products. Sadly they now churn out very cheap products that die soon after the warrantt period. This is the second time this has happened to us. Customer service had two offers: buy a new ink cartridge using my own money or buy a new product from them. That's customer service. That is the definition of spending good money after bad. I would not recommend anything from this company.

Unable to print in black due to defective sensor.

Black ink won't print because of defective sensor. This is not something HP can repair.

Not very good.

My 2nd all-in-one printer and this one is the worst. Printing both sides the paper always tears when going back through. The combination color cartridge is a great waste and the paper feed itself is never straight. I guess you get what you pay for. This was an inexpensive printer and it shows. May reconsider buying HP next time.

If it worked like advertised it would be great.

Connecting this device wirelessly was a bit of a nightmare. My smartphone can send to it directly, but although my PC can 'see' it on the network, we were never able to make it work, except by sending documents through the HP server, and I can't get comfortable with that from a privacy perspective. The first ink cartridge just ran out, replaced it and got a printed sheet stating everything was aligned -- but the colors are way off (both dark teal and bright blue print as the identical shade of bright blue), and pieces of the first two lines of text are missing some text every inch. This device is just way too much work and trouble. Probably why it was only $99. Time to try something other than HP... these devices have lost their quality.

Quick to print

This printer is faster to print than my old HP. The old one bumped and whirred for at least 30 seconds before printing. This one prints almost instantly.

Very good printer

Great features- two sided printing, plain and photo paper automatically, easy wireless set up, intuitive visual screen interface. Only negative is the relatively slow printing speed.

A nice all in one with a couple of flaws

I’ll start with the most serious flaw. If you want to print a greeting card borderless, so it looks like you bought it, it will not properly print the inside of the card. Anything you print borderless truncates the margin to the top of the page, sliding the print across. Otherwise, it is a nice printer and scanner, although you have to be careful that it doesn’tc ock the paper is it feeds the scanner, and if you scan from the printer, it doesn’t save your preference as to document type and destination. The instrument program his great if you’re pretty much collar, not so great if you print all black.

Damage at factory or shipping.

The first paper got caught. I took the tray out to get to the paper and a part was broken inside and a part was off the track and disconnected. I would like to have it fixed or replaced.

Awesome Printer!!!

I just purchased the "HP Envy 5660 All-in-One printer. I really love this printer and the price was more than reasonable. It does everything that I need it to do and more. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone who is looking for a great printer, at a great price, for use at home or at school. You'll be very happy with it!

Pretty easy set up. Works great.

Works great and is quiet. Due to WiFi, you don't need a printer cable (just power). Would have been nice to know beforehand that a printer cable connection prohibits the WiFi option before I went to the trouble of connecting the cable.
