I recently purchased the HP Spectre X360 after researching the competition thoroughly and found this is hands down the best laptop available. I needed something small and light with power and great battery life and this delivers and then some. -The QHD screen is amazing! Check out 4K videos -I don't have to bring a charger even on overnight trips -It has the power to get work done as well -My daughter was blown away when I flipped the screen over and brought up a movie for her. (She wants one now for herself) I have had it for a week now and love it more today after using it.

This laptop has everthing that the competition does not (i researched them all). And the price is very good considering the components. Set up was extremely simple. The capability of being able to convert to esentially a tablet is a very nice feature. The speed at which it ran my applications was excellent. The battery run time on a single charge was really good. Overall this is An Excellent Laptop and I would recomment it to anyone that asks me... I hope that HP will consider doing two things: 1) Add one more product to this line of laptops to a larger screen. 15" would be very nice :-) 2) Have an option for a 1TB SSD ... With these two additions I believe HP would be Far in front of the competition !!!

I was looking to replace my 3 1/2 year old i7, 1TB, 15" laptop that was getting more and more damaged with everyday transport between home and office. My final candidates were the Yoga 3 Pro and the Surface 3 Pro. Both looked like great devices. I went into Best Buy to get a final look and saw this new HP Spectre that just jumped out at me. Great look, great features, great price. The only issue for me was that BBY didn't have the 512GB SSD model, which I wanted immediately but it wasn't supposed to come out until a few weeks later. To my surprise, I went on hpshopping and it was listed, so I bought it. I'm sure I got one of the first ones. I wanted to get it before my daughter's school DC trip, which I was going to help chaperone and the trip was going to leave in just over a week. Got it delivered 3 days before leaving. It was easy to get ready. It did not have a bunch of junk software to have to take off, so I was able to just add Office and go. It already had Windows Essentials loaded, which I use for photos and video (Photo Gallery and Movie Maker). I have a Canon 5D that I used for taking pictures on the trip. Thanks to the SD card in the Spectre, I was able to transfer, edit, and post using it in both laptop mode and tablet mode. There was wifi on the bus, so parents of other students got day by day views of their kids and sights from Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, Montecello, and DC and more. The long battery life made it so I didn't run out of power each day and I could wait to recharge when we got back to the hotel. I was very impressed. Nowadays, I don't carry the power pack with me anymore. Just have one at home and one at office and can go all day without worrying. The three USB 3.0 ports were important. I have external mouse and keyboard at office and home, and use external HDD for personal and work (i.e. one for each) so that takes up the ports when I need the access to what's on them. I use the HDMI port at home and the mini Displayport at the office for second monitors at each location. I could go on and on. I never write reviews either, but I'm very happy with this model. Looks great, light, powerful. The 2560 x 1440 screen makes images clear and colors impressive. HP includes a neoprene cover which protects it in my pack or I can take the x360 by itself and keep it protected from any extraneous scratches. BTW, I got to learn how to use the Photos app that comes with Windows 8.1. It has all the editing features of Photo Gallery, but I could use it in tablet mode using touch for everything. Easy, powerful, quick. If I can do it riding around in a bus, it would be no sweat anywhere else. Great combining of software and machine!

This is the best and most dependable laptop I've ever owned. Performance terrific as well as a wonderful hardware design. The price is lower than some other competitors while the quality is higher.

This replaced my faithful HP twin disk Pavilion which gave up the ghost after nine years. It was heavy and ran hot, but a great machine. So far, the x360 appears to be not only filling the gap, but surpassing the Pavilion. Not having an optical drive was a little odd, but optical drives are cheap, so no problem. The speed of the x360 is excellent and the touch screen a pleasure, much like my Android phone. It also interfaced with my other network items flawlessly if not intuitively.

This is my 5th HP laptop purchase. This one is fantastic. Their customer service has been great in the past and was the main reason I opted to get an HP again.

HP has done a masterful job of combining the best features of a laptop and a tablet computer. The unit is very light and with enough power to run Adobe Photoshop. The unique hinge design combined with a touch screen makes the Spectre 360 the ideal companion for air travel. Folding the screen back and you have a stand for the computer that fits on a seatback tray table. Very pleased with the product.
