MICHAEL B : Are there toner cartridges (or starter versions) included with the unit? I hope you understand my question.DEBRA P : Mine came with starter versions and so it gave me time to order others after I started to use it. I don't remember how many copies the starters were good for but I do recommend staying with Canon cartridges. I bought compatible ones the first time I needed more and from day one my magenta has always said it was time to change it because it was empty. I'm going back to OEM and watching for specials on the prices.MAURICE E : Yes, the machine has starter toner cartridges. Check for the most economical replacement cartridges however. The ones you order from Canon are very expensive. Sign onto Google and put in the request for cheaper toner cartridges. Keep looking.

Printer software needs a lot of work.

Took me weeks to get it setup. Had to finally restore both desktop and Alienware Windows 7 OS hard drives for it to work. It still doesn't print on demand after sitting all night. Prints well when it prints. It scans well when it scans. Normally, I must reboot the printer to accomplish either option. Copies as manufactured to do.

Very slow, jams a lot

This printer is very slow and will continuously jam and misprint after printing several documents. For instance, I just finished printing several pages of documents and it will not finish what I need printed. I've tried trouble shooting, which is zero help, restarting, and nothing helps. It does this on a regular basis and I just have to let it rest for a while. NOT good when you need to get things done. This printer is the biggest waste of space on my desk. It cleans itself constantly, too, right in the midst of a printing job.

This printer prints very slow. Prints a few pages stop and start again if you have more that 2 or 3 sheets to print.

Wow! Great Printer
