I have had two of these printers fail on me after only 1 1/2 years use. Around 60,000 pages printed. The diffuser failed on both units and the cost to replace diffuser assembly is almost $400.00. I like HP printers, but not this one.

Tray 1 has a tough time with cardstock (Avery forms, usually) or envelopes. Frequently fails to pull tray 1 material into the printer, so a lot of babysitting is required. It is very slow printing envelopes. Yes, I've make the necessary adjustments for the thickness of the cardstock, and made sure nothing was stuck together, but that has not helped. That said, this is an acceptable SOHO printer and should be seriously considered. Duplexing is always a great feature and this has never jammed while duplexing, even with thin cardstock -- once it gets pulled in from Tray 1.

I have had my printer for about 9 months. This printer has been great. We use it in a accounting and tax office so it does get alot of work. During the past tax season we did about 7000.00 pages a month of printing on the network. I am looking for when the printer goes on sale again to purchase another one.

Great printer. Easy to use and ready to go. The feature I like most is the automatic flip for double-sided printing. It saves paper (and money) which is great for the environment; and still prints rapidly! The only small issue I have with the printer is the noise-- it is a bit loud, and quite noticeable at night. I work this computer pretty hard, and it delivers the goods. Highly recommended-- easy to use, loaded with great features, efficient (double-sided printing), and a great value for the money (after rebate).

We needed a tough, solid, efficient, fast, monochrome printer to replace our aging fleet of networked HP Laserjet 4000, 4050, 2100, 2200, 2300 and 5000 printers, that was compatible with both Apple and Windows operating systems. This printer fills the bill even more than we expected. Users in our school district very much appreciate the size (fits easily on a desk) dependability (jams are so rare and event logs are free of error messages), illuminated display panel (preferred over blinking lights), large paper tray (it holds an entire ream instead of half), duplex capability (saves paper to print on both sides), low power use, and quiet operation of this HP LaserJet P3005dn. We have not found a fault in it. Great job, HP, and thank you!

I replaced an ancient machine, must have been one of the first network capable machines made. This one is a gem. The print quality is great, it prints my 30 page documents with ease. I wish we would have ordered one sooner. I am getting ready to replace a second printer in our office. I won't even consider anything else, I am so happy with this one. It is small enough to fit ontop of a file cabinet, or on the corner of a desk or return. It is heavy, so doesn't risk getting bumped off. It seems well built. And with current rebates you can't go wrong!

A large paper input capacity prevents interruptions and keeps you on task. The printer features a maximum input capacity of 1,100 sheets.
The HP LaserJet P3005 printer series includes a 100-sheet multipurpose tray that supports traditional paper sizes from envelopes to legal, along with a broad spectrum of paper types.
