Expensive, but quality not so good.

I have popping nose in a speaker, that make work on a computer impossible. And also noise from BIOS during every start of computer. I found another couple of ENVY Pro owners with the same problem. Based on my understanding in most of the cases HP exchanged the computer. In my case after 3 weeks local HP support come to the solution that they will return me money. Based on HP refund process will take 2-3 week. So overall 6 weeks I need wait till I will have ability to buy new computer. So very expensive computer, not so good quality. But what is really disappointing is service level of HP support.

Nice design - poor performance, poor display

I had high expectations for this system given the awards, but the performance was not there. The system is slow and it took over six hours from turn-on to get it up and running. Update after update. The processor is slow and the WiFi is slow. The other issue is the display. It is not a high quality display and looks washed out. Just not what you expect for a high priced desktop all in one. I will likely go back to a 34" monitor and an i7 desktop. I like HP's design, it just did not match the performance expected for the price. I returned the unit. HP's return policy is great and I will continue to by HP.

Beautiful but SLOW!

I purchased this when it first came out based on it's beautiful design. Unfortunately it's painfully SLOW. I upgraded the SSD drive, which was fairly easy. That helped BIG time. I now have the i5 with a 512 SSD. Wish I could expand the graphics capability. I would not buy this again, as it is way overpriced. I love the look of it however. The display is gorgeous!

Poor, slow, do not buy

i have purchased 3 of these for my office. thinking i was getting a top of the line computer, i was wrong. in total i have exchanged 2 of the original 3 and still don't have 1 working computer. everyone i have opened, turned on, and started to run the updates. have all not worked, frozen screens, slow, slow, slow. you would think you should just turn on a new computer and have it work. 1 of them the screen is just black. I'm going back to where i got them to get a full refund and getting all macs.

dissapointed

This is a great desktop if you don't need a cd or disk player. There is no disk player nor any cd/disk player accessories included. So if you like burning, or playing, or whatever a cd - well you cant! And to put this desktop back to factory use you need to insert disk??? what a joke. If I would of known this downfall I wouldn't of bought it! I should of paid better attention - but yet they knew exactly what they were selling and that we'd be blind folded. Other than that its nice.

Best Feature is the large screen

Yes, the best feature of this 34-A010 is the big screen. I like having multiple windows open so I don't have to toggle back and forth. The graphics are good also. However, for this price point HP needs to do better by the consumer. 1TB HDD is way too small, so for the price you should 2.0TB , and of course not fitting it with SSD instead of the standard hard drive is a minus. The machine is slow and it shouldn't be. Also with the largest of it, HP could have found a way to install the DVD drive, and if not, at this price point it needs to come standard with one. When you go big like this, the system should be the same. . HP has always skimped on the wireless keyboard and mouse, and really needs to stop doing that. Just about every review whether on HP or not, says the same thing about the kb/m combo, the quality is subpar. I had a 27 inch and wanted this one. If I had to do it all over again, I would stick with the 27 inch. I recommend this is you are going to watch movies or play games a lot.

Do not buy

AIO are trash junk systems HP do not offer extended warranty on these. Only manufactured warranty which usually ends in one year. After one year its HP choice whether they extend warranty or not. I bought AIO $1200 plus tax it worked one year than hard drive crashed and after spending hours on the phone that HP is not extending warranty they sent a new hard drive then after few months screen died completely and since there is no warranty offered they are not fixing it even if I pay for repairs. So basically a $1200 computer worked for only 18 months and its a trash now. Do not buy your money will be wasted this all in one drama is trash.

Any Improvements?

I'm interested in learning whether this model has been improved and is still available or if a better version has been designed yet.

Gorgeous screen

I've been a big fan of all-in-one computers for years and this computer is pretty much the pinnacle of AIO design and functionality. I can't convey how impressive the display is in person, you really have to see it to believe it, and it's not just that it's basically the size of two 17" monitors seamlessly squished together, but that the curve conforms to the natural sweep of your eyes and every tiny detail on the screen is crystal clear. I understand that the monitor is available separately, so if you're not keen on AIO architecture, I would seriously consider treating yourself to the monitor, it's that good. Do you want dozens of images open in photoshop with a minimum of shuffling? You got it. Editing a video? This monitor makes it that much easier. Multiple applications open side by side? Right now I have four Word documents open side by side, the practicatlity of this display is astonishing. I sprung for the I7 processor and 16GB, can I tell you how fast this thing is? The whole computer easily tilts forward and backward on its legs. I've never been more pleased with a computer purchase in my life, and I plan to keep this computer for a long time. As awesome as this computer is, I'm compelled to point out a few minor annoyances: the USB ports are on the bottom of the machine, where you can't see them, you have to blindly poke around until you hit the bullseye. Upgrading the hard drive is a hair-raising experience because you have to actually remove the screen. I only know this because I wanted to add a 1TB Seagate SSHD. Also, there is no provision for a secondary hard drive or a mini-pcie port so you can add a mini SSD drive, but I have found that by tinkering with Windows 10 I can get pretty good performance with a 256GB 3.0 flash drive on one of the 3.0 USB ports. Also, one last thing, why in the world are the labels for the power button and adjustment buttons printed on the BACK of the computer where you would never normally see them? I guess it's just another one of those mysterious HP design decisions. All-in-all, I'm very satisfied with this all-in-one, and every time I walk in the door i'm struck by how gorgeous it is. I just want to sit here forever and stare at it.

Defective parts, slow, bad tech support experience

I ordered this all-in-one on December 23rd for Christmas. Opened it Christmas day and there were at least 5 dead pixels on this gorgeous monitor. Getting a replacement ordered was easy, but they won't send the new one out until the defective one is returned. Took a week for the return (they don't expedite), so my "next business day" shipping arrived over a week later. The replacement has a defective fan that is on high at all times. It took over 10 calls to tech support, shopping, and Resolutions/Escalations to finally get to the dedicated Envy tech support desk. They say it takes two technicians to repair anything in this sealed product and that they don't have the parts. So it is January 17, I don't want to install any software because it may get replaced again, and there are no parts, no technicians to visit, and no option for replacement because it is sold out. The only good support has come from Resolutions/Escalations, but all they can promise is credit after credit. All this credit is useless when the product isn't in working order when it arrives. So, while I love this large display, the slow performance (lots of stops and stutters), poor experience with defective monitor then defective fan, and the suboptimal placement of the ports (you can't fit most jump drives into the front USBs because they aren't really in the front, they point down and jump drives are too long to fit), mean this computer is getting returned. Lastly, HP Support --> it shouldn't take 2 weeks of calling to get referred to the correct tech department. What an awful experience with your offshore tech call center.

Deserves the 2016 CES Innovation Award!

I gave this 34 inch curved All-in-One computer to my brother for Christmas. This computer has the most gorgeous display that anyone will ever witness. There is nothing wrong with the hard drive on this computer, and this hard drive is fine. What the consumer needs to reach peak performance on any computer that has come out in 2015 is the latest modem and most powerful WiFi on the market. I gave my brother a modem with up to 1.4Gbps along with a very powerful WiFi Router and this computer just about flies out the window -- it is so powerful!

I would have purchased now with 6th i7 processor.

I am writing this review so that potential buyers do not make the mistake of purchasing this HP PC based off the video description for this AIO that states it comes with a 6th GEN Intel i7 Processor and not the truth of the matter's i5. I was checking out and luckily reading over the specs and noticed the inconsistency. But, AS SOON AS A 6th GEN INTEL i7 processor is inside for REAL then I will not hesitate to purchase this AIO. That is if I don't purchase SAMSUNG's new AIO or another brand AIO large screen before HP gets this AIO configured properly as they credit themselves in their promotional sales video's for this product. Totally let down right now and totally unhappy that this PC is not on its way to me but I gots to have an i7 processor minimum.

Best screen on the market

The screen and sound are amazing! I work on a double monitor at work and find it very productive. I don’t like the aesthetics of two monitors in my home office and this is a much better alternative. The curved screen gives you a great field of view. I didn’t care for curved TVs but in a PC it’s a bonus. I agree completely with the previous posts I’ve seen. Not having a SSD in a machine at this price point is a downer. The good news is you can by SSD for cheap these days. I added a 480 GB SSD for about $150. The keyboard also feels very cheap. I expected to have to upgrade anyway as I’ve become accustom to the ergonomic keyboards, so for me that was not a big deal. The Microsoft store sells a “signature edition” of this machine with 128GB SSD + 1TB 5400 RPM HDD and an i7 processor for $300 more. For me the i7 is overkill and I could buy and install a bigger SSD drive myself and still save some money so I just bought the standard configuration model . I’m not a gamer myself but the kids have put a few games on here and the large curved screen combed with the amazing Bang & Olfufsen sound system make it a totally immersive gaming experience. I guess if you’re a gamer with a lot of games in the hard drive the 1 TB HDD could be better than a smaller SSD… but for me an SSD has become a mandatory in any PC. Once you get used to an SSD it’s hard to revert back. There are plenty of ports (including USB 3.0, HDMI, etc.) and it’s also a very nice looking machine. I’ve seen some posts commenting on problems with the camera. I’ve not had any issues with mine. All in all, very satisfied… especially thanks to previous poster who warned about the few shortcomings so I knew what to expect. I gave it 4 stars. With an SSD and better keyboard it would be 5 stars.

All that glitters is not gold

This machine looks stunning. However, the performance was below average. Very slow to boot and slow in responding to commands. Also, not a touchscreen. Audio was sub-par as well. HP got a lot of things right on this one, but they need a couple more months to get it 100% right. I sent mine back, but will try again when they let me configure the performance specs and get a touch option.

HP ENVY 34" Curved AIO

This is the best PC I've owned. I temporarily have it set up next to the HP AIO it is replacing and the sound is much better on this one. Wide aspect ratio movies have essentially no black bars. Nearly all connectors are accessible from the back but there are a few on the underside (3.5mm audio jack, 2 USBs) but you won't want to remove and reinsert from the underside ports frequently because they are harder to access. I found no defects in craftsmanship/pixels I intentionally wanted the configuration which uses the integrated GPU of the Skylake processor since that is all I need for my purposes. They may eventually produce a configuration with a discrete NVIDIA card. HP made another wonderful product in this AIO.

Very good looking has some manufacturing defects

Love the screen. Unfortunately the external audio connector does not work. (Will not auto switch between 3.5mm four section TRRS and three section TRS) I tested the internal speakers using a frequency sweep from 10Hz to 25,000 Hz and a Neumann microphone. The sound reproduction is non linear and not Hi-Fi - no low end. SDHC card reader is difficult to use and card falls out. I would like to see separate mic and line connectors and a video output.

HP ENVY Curved All-in-One Misses the Mark

I received my HP ENVY Curved All-in-One yesterday and while it looks great, it misses the mark on a couple of points. First, it is loud. I just cranks and cranks and can be distracting. Not just the fan, but the cranking of the machine in general is unusually load. Secondly, it really misses the mark on performance. To be honest, I did not study the specs on this computer as well as I should have before purchasing. I watched the video that they have on the page, which shows them editing a video with this computer and the text on the video says that it has an i7 processor, which it does not ... it is an i5 which is what it says in the specs, but the video says i7. Anyway, it takes too look to boot up and is just slow in general. If it was not so much a hassle I would return it. I definitely would not recommend it. I did contact their customer service but I get no reply and they are hardly every open for business.

Not a touch display? 5400 rpm hard drive?

There's so much to like in this machine based on the specs. Sadly, an all-in-one without a touch display is a non-starter these days. And like many AIOs, the base model is saddled with a very slow hard drive. I had assumed this would be configurable to add touch, but it's not. That's too bad, because this would otherwise be a great machine.
