Love my HP PC! I've has three in a row. And my My HP display is perfect! But my all-in-1 printer? One gigantic fail. I've never had a good day with it. What does it tell you when a company gives you a "print and scan doctor" that you need to run before you print? Or else it hangs in the queue, or "error - printing" (helpful, thanks) And it's ALWAYS right before I'm ready to run out the door. Canon, here I come.

First year (while under warranty) great no issues. Next year printer failed to recognize its own ink so wasted ink. Got that fixed (July 2020) now a year later and another ink issue- cartridge issues - well after going through all the diagnostics several times and more wasted ink I was told I need a whole new printer. What a waste. Will not be going back to HP. Last printer was bad too but figured was just one but nope....

I own this machine for two years and the trouble we had with it is just exhausting...there is nothing wrong with the printer itself, jammed only once and because of paper being too loose when pulled. The culprits are the drivers and software that accompanies it, don't know how many times did I have to reinstall it because he would not print in color. If you enable silent mode you cannot disable it unless you reinstall the software again although it says it has been disabled but will print normal only from my wife's laptop. Then my wife could not connect to the printer, we reinstalled and went through the setup so many times, whatever was causing issues it's still lurking there waiting to be activated, The printer was connected properly to wifi! Good printer, but man unbelievable amount of headache with buggy software, HP please revisit this software and update, this is not working as intended!

Besides feeling like I'm constantly throwing money at new ink cartridges, the printer itself had no other issues when I bought this a year ago. I changed the WiFi password recently and this printer seemed to crash. I got it up and running again but now it will only print documents from the desktop and not the internet. I tried reinstalling the driver and now it won't install correctly. The document feeder eats paper now, it never used to do that. I have to copy pages one by one from the flatbed copier. Very tedious and time consuming. This printer is junk.

I bought this printer about a year ago and have regretted it ever since. If I want to print something out i have to reconnect it to the web every time. It takes forever to read that there is an item in the cue and the desktop apps for running it are less than helpful. It also regularly eats paper. Spend the extra 20 bucks for a better printer and different brand.

Since we bought this printer it has only printed 2 decent documents. No amount of troubleshooting or cleaning the print heads will fix it. We even bought new ink thinking that the ink that was shipped with the printer might be no good. That was more wasted money. The printer that we bought is a lemon, and we are severely disappointed.

Bought this for my daughter 18 months ago. She called customer service with an error message as well as took the printer to Staples. Both said there is a problem with the sensor and we would have to buy a new one. Cant afford to buy a new printer every 18 months.

We have owned this printer for over a year. It consistently fails to communicate with computers whenever we try to print or scan. The hardware seems to work just fine, and the printer says it is connected to the wifi. After reinstalling drivers and running the print and scan doctor, it will SOMETIMES work. It should not take an hour of troubleshooting to print something on a regular basis.

Problems from day 1. Printing quality was often poor. It chugged ink. Doing taxes today and trying to print, but it is telling me ''This printer is not connected.'' It will not even copy a document! the scan still works, but that is all. HP deleted my account, which had the record of this printer and a few more. I just came to give a poor review. I can understand why they quit making the 4650. Hope my credit card warranty will reimburse me for this purchase.

At no time can I print with this printer without going through troubleshooting each and every time. Not only that, but it often doesnt even fix the problem! I hate this printer and want to toss it into the street like the trash it is.

There is not a day that an error code doesn't appear on the printer screen. I have to occasionally disconnect it from the wall jack to reset the printer. Very frustrating.

This printer is the worst. In many occasions it does not print the entire paper, it will only print have of the page and stop in the middle. In other occasions I send something to the printer and the printer does not recognize it. For some reason that one document gets "stuck". Then I have to re-boot the printer. Then other times it does not find my WiFi access point, and when it finds, it asks for the password again... And I have to retype every time it loses connectivity with my WiFi. Finally, the ink sucks and does not dry properly. After printing and waiting several hours, if I pass my fingers in the paper with some strength level (like to turn a page), the ink smudges in my fingers. Worst printer ever!

I got mine a couple years ago and it's been wonderful. The Scan Doctor has been super, if there's a problem. I am using it as an art teacher to create projects that require good printing of images. I really enjoy it's quiet mode and the ink jet replacement program has been such a savings!

Recently purchased and works well so far, for the usual printing, copying and scanning. Very easy to set up. I didn't notice until I had it all set up that it has no port for a USB key.

Easy to set up and use. Nicely designed and functions flawlessly. The insta ink system is great. Scanning and copying is relatively quick and quiet.

A recent "upgrade" transformed the machine into a " manual two sided printer" only a lengthy search reset it to an "automatic two sided printer."

Do not buy this printer unless you would like to unplug it and plug it back in every time you want to use it. The convenience of any of the print features are a TOTAL WASTE if someone has to reset the printer every time you need to print.

I have only had this printer a couple of weeks and have not printed much, however I have tested each of the features to make sure they all work. The printer itself is impressive for its price, considering how many features it packs - scan/print/fax, colour printing, document feeder and glass options for scanning/copying. I am also very impressed with the Instant Ink program which really helps to reduce costs, especially with the Free monthly subscription. I bought this printer because I am a teacher and read lots of reviews that said it gets the job done, especially for cost-effective colour printing when using the Instant Ink subscription that suits your needs. I did have some issues with the scanning and photocopying at first, as documents would come through crooked using the glass and the document feeder. After contacting support, I was sent a replacement printer and the second printer still scanned crooked when using the document feeder. I contacted support and he suggested that it was due to a lack of power coming from my power outlet (issue can also arise if using a power bar). I switched outlets and the issue resolved so I am happy!

This machine is a piece of trash. 1) I have owned it for 6 months, and somehow it automatically deleted its ability to print color. I was told I need to uninstall and reinstall all drivers to the machine and my computer- while I was in the middle of a project where I needed color copies. 2) At least once a week it automatically reformats itself to not be able to accept documents in the top feeder, the top feeder runs and runs, says it has an error, then will only take copies off of the glass. I have to reinstall the factory defaults for it to work. 3) The ink is terrible. It will only let you use HP Ink cartridges- any off-brand company you purchase from works about 50% of the time. The message literally reads "not an authentic HP ink cartridge" and it will not accept it. I will never buy another HP product.

The printer and its packaged software no longer works as it should. The driver and diagnostic software continue to show failure, unable to communicate with my printer and my computer. The printer is connected to the wireless connection but fails to respond to the driver installed on the computer (it is fully updated).

The printer is quiet and with the touch screen was extremely easy to setup. I highly recommend the HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer. This is probably the 6th HP printer I have used over the last number of years both for business and at home.... it is by far the best and I thought the other HP's were great!!!!

The first NEW one I bought was a lemon. The 2d refurbished one was a lemon. The 3rd one broke after a week. In the trash.

I don't have the space for a second printer. I wanted a colour printer that would work on a particular paper size. This does just what I wanted. I am not into printing high quality photos, but I wanted a photo on a summary page. It does that. I am impressed. I swore off inkjet printers because they dry out so fast and you end up spending a lot of time cleaning the ink cartridge, again, no problem so far. I am definitely pleased with the printer.

A dependable printer
By James52
I had been looking for a wireless printer that I could use with my phone and laptop, and out of the many choices, I decided on the HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Thermal Inkjet Printer with Wi-Fi. It's easy to setup, and easy to use. Most importantly it is a great investment for the amount of money spent. I have to also say, in my experience, Hewlett-Packard is a respectable company with online customer support representatives who have consistently proven a capacity to troubleshoot and resolve ...
