I am very pleased with this purchase. It is compact and user friendly. The two-sided printing saves paper. It also, appears to not use alot of ink. The web and e-print are great options if needed. The only suggestion of improvement is to reduce noise level with printing.

I had my recent purchase of the Officejet6500A Plus installed on my old, 10 year old Dell computer. It took a lot of time to overcome the limitations my pc presented, but in the end I was given good service, handled patiently. That last part is important since I'm not strong in the iins and outs of computer hardware. So far the all-in-one is performing beautifully. I even went on to purchase the most expensive desktop model to replace my Dell. The printer I just now replaced was a HP all-in-one that I bought over ten years ago. It finally gave out after all that time of problem-free performance. I also have a HP photosmart . I know Dell is a great product but am willing to take a chance on a HP desktop based on my experience with HP printers. I hope my confidence is well placed.

I had a little difficulty connecting through my Netgear Router, but after a call to Netgear, they had it up and running.

Setup, including wireless was quick. Black text quality is excellent and coping is easy and fast. Automatic duplexing so slow I probably won't use it. I have only printed a couple of photos and the borderless setting still produced a small border at the top and bottom. I don't know if this a setting issue or just how it prints. Overall a reasonable product, not perfect.

I have had my new printer for a couple of weeks. The setup was simple, either the computer guided you through it or it was done automatically. The AirPrint feature was a breeze to use. I just pressed print on my iPad and there it went. The scanner does a great job on scanning documents clearly. Two sided printing is a useful feature. Making multiple page copies was easy with the auto document feeder. Haven't used all the features yet, but so far no difficulties. It's not the quietest or fastest printer ever, and it shakes my desk a lot when it prints, but those things are not a concern for me. It is a big upgrade from my old Brother printer.

I bought this to replace an old 610 HP printer and a Kodak printer. So far this has done everything I asked of it.

This printer has performed as expected in the 3 months I have owned it. Connected wirelessly to both a Toshiba PC and Apple MacBook Pro with no problems at all. Print quality has been excellent and love the convenience of being able to print anywhere in the house.

Using wireless feature and prints sporadically. Have to work out a few kinks. Otherwise print copy is great and color comes out beautifully. Much better than my old Dell. I enjoy using the HP.

This printer offers a lot of functionality but I had to repeat set up at least 3 times per function (print, copy, fax, eprint). Wish it was easier out of the box, but now that it's working I'm hoping it will last a couple of years. My previous printer of the same (but earlier) model died after about 14 months - ink cartridge housing didn't last.

Now that the equipment is installed and operational, I am very happy with the printer. It has excellent features and the price was very good. However, I found the setup instructions very difficult to follow and essentially had to guess my way through the setup at too many points. I thought the instructions were unclear and assumed too much pre-knowledge of the equipment and I found the info and instructions regarding the eprint center difficult to locate and use. The icon for the eprinter center didn't work until after I had actually been to the eprint center and made needed adjustments. At one point, I made an adjustment to my router that I mistakenly thought was being asked for and I wound up with several hours of router problems and a $40 fee for technical assistance with the router. I also found the set-up with a couple of mobile devices difficult to handle. Very little seemed intuitive or user friendly. The set up was an almost totally frustrating experience. Without the setup problems, I would have graded my experience with 5 stars but the setup was horrible. Unless the printer blows up tomorrow, however, the printer will still have been worth the aggravation, even the $40 for technical help. It works as advertised and has an excellent set of features and the price was great and I have had good luck with HP products in the past.

I needed a new printer to replace an old PSC 750 xi and this one appeared to fit my needs. The only real thing that I found trouble with was that the receiving tray is not long enough. The printed paper slides off ! That is why I rated it a 3 instead of a 10.

The HP Officejet 6500A is very easy to use. It's a great home-office machine. I had an earlier model of the same product... but it's paper-grabbing-wheels wore down to where it wouldn't feed paper through any more. I liked the design so bought another. I did need to call tech support to get this one set up as my HP computer didn't read the installation CD that came with the printer. But it works well now, and I like the product.

Great print quality and color. Fast printing. Easy set-up. Reasonable ink usage. Warm-up time is a little slow. Overall big bang for the buck.

A Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copier for just over $100 and from HP. It works well as all our HP printers have over the years and is easier on electricity, cartridge ink and in actual use then the OfficeJet it replaced....We're happy!

My new HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer was easy to setup and I was online using it in no time. The print quality is good and I have every confidence that I will have terrific use out of it for a long time to come. I will only buy HP printers because they are the best high quality printers on the market. They are reasonably priced and they work forever. The only reason why I am buying a new printer is for the new wireless capabilities. I brought my old printer to work to replace an even older HP model, both of which still work great.

I use this all-in-one at work and decided to get one for my home office. Works really well. A little disappointed in the scanning feature, but at least it works. Love, the back-to-back printing feature. Do think the ink cartridges are a little on the skimpy side, tho! However, I would still recommend it!

The features of the HP Officejet 6500 are good. The machine design and operating manual leave a lot to be desired. The manual does not describe the mechanical aspects sufficiently. Documents to be scanned RUN THROUGH the machine instead of being stationary. Tried to scan a business card. Swallowed by the machine cannot figure out how to retrieve it. Printing and scanning slower than, say Dell AIO 926 in the same price renge. Wireless works well. Tech support very good. Overall? Would probably look at something else for a replacement. Hope this helps you. nick77

Great printer. Easy to set up and operate. Touch screen is intuitive. The only negative aspect is the printer seems a bit slower than the 5610 it replaced. Otherwise it is great! Large capacity ink cartridges are available which reduce the replacement frequency. The paper tray capacity is much larger as well. Overall a very user friendly piece of equipment.

Easy set up. Great buy. Takes a while for it to warm up and print if you haven't used it in a while. Shiny black surface loves fingerprints. But, it is a good printer.

Purchased this printer from the HP Store online. Product was delivered in just 3 days without any special mailing. Setup did take some time (almost an hour) but I followed the instructions provided (which were easy to understand) and all the functions of this printer were installed and working correctly for both of my laptops. Do not have issues with losing the wireless connection, have already sent a fax out without issue, scanned documents to my laptop without issue, and printed pictures that look just fine to me and my wife. Altogether, this HP 6500 plus printer is all that we would need, and is priced well for the amount of functionality that it delivers.

I asked several times about printing photos on regular photo paper. It does not have the photo paper slot. My old HP printer has the adjustable window so that I can read selections for printing and faxing. It NEVER occurred to me that such an excellent idea would be discontinued. I have to stand up to read the printer read out.

Love the printer. Quality is very good. One problem that has come up over the last few weeks is the wireless connection. Printer is working fine. The next day, I try to print and have to connect it AGAIN to our router. Have read several reviews that this is a problem for others, too. But then it prints just fine. I have it down pat on reconnecting, but I should not have to do this in my own home. Please HP, get this fixed! I don't want to replace an otherwise very good printer! Can't complain about the print quality. Copying and faxing work fine.
