I have tried 2 of this printer. Problems with printer head, replaced, still very unreliable. Prints 1 good, then no good until you clean, then good for 1 print....! Very high cost of ink and paper due to poor prints. Cleaning step empties new cartridges almost instantly. Trying to stay loyal to HP, but I can't afford to keep using this printer. I have been using all HP supplies.

I was shocked that the printer did not have a scanner. It als had no instructions, at all. I had to pay for the printing to download a manual from the computer. I also have spent days trying to get it to work, and can't get it to print without reducing the size of the originals. It has been a total waste of money for me.

I set up printer okay, but have not been able to set up software Solution Center. I got a message that error in setup, tried reinstalling, but no luck. Can't access program. The printer seems to be doing fine, but haven't had time yet to fully utilize all the features.

This printer performs very poorly and cannot be relied upon. This is our 2nd one as the first one bit the dust less than 2 years after we purchased it. It had not worked properly for many months. The troubleshooting guide did not solve the problem and it was out of warranty. We did purchase another one which we use only for wide format printing. It has been in service for less than 1 week and today we already had a problem we had to troubleshoot. Very disappointing quality from a company that used to be the best. Not recommended if you need a printer you can rely on for business purposes.

I needed CAD prints in the 11 x 17 format. This printer was on sale through different outlets, but I found the same price on the HP Shop at home site and bought it from them. The shipping was extraordinary (shorter than expected). The print is sharp and clear, dries quickly.

While it worked, this was a good to very good printer. No issues with speed or ink use. Then it started having occasional malfunctions where it wouldn't print at all. I discovered that the ink was leaking where the head rests when not in use, tripping a sensor I am guessing. I cleaned it up and it lasted another month before the issue returned and it would not work again.

I buy HP quite a bit because it's easy to order and I get my product in a timely manner. Usually when i need something I need it "right now". And my order came quite quickly and, yes, I paid for next business day shipping (which didn't cost that much.) The printer was quickly unpacked and set up - the instructions were simple, the pictures good. It took a while for the system to go through its checks but now it works very well. I also like the fact that this printer is CMYK as opposed to RGB.

Having owned many HP products I expected this to work well with all my systems including Apple computer. Two side printing is the only feature that would be an improvement. The individual ink cartridge for each color is an improvement over the try-color ink cartridges.

I purchased this printer less than three years ago. It hasn't worked properly for the past six months. Color has banding more often than not. Cartridges always need to be replaced even though I purchase the XLs. Designers relying on their color printers for accurate color proofs and digital art need to know that this is not the printer for them. The HP Officejet 7000 is unreliable. It is a toxic plastic machine that you will have to haul to the dump in less than three years. I have posted this printer review on several design blogs as well.

An excellent large format printer for the price of a letter/legal printer. This is my second one and I would buy it again!

This wide format printer provided a network connection, which is what I was looking for, along with print quality on 11x17" paper that meets my needs. Have only had the printer for a couple of weeks and have no complaints thus far.

The office Jet 7000 Wide Format printer has poor paper grab. Needs a paper pusher attached to the tray to hold paper snugly up into the printer. Also needs 2 trays for other sizes. Printer has too much movement before and after print. Is loud and uses too much ink. Had to adjust print flow. The printer waste ink when it use ink to clean the jets and heads every time it is used, even when 0ne print is made. This printer does not compare to the better quality HP 2800 office jet, both have wide formate printing. The HP Office Jet 7000 printer will not print on envelopesand does not have a rear feed like the 2800 printer. Over all not a good buy.

Nice basic wide format printer to replace HP2800, but ink cartridges empty very, very fast. I have better things to do besides constantly replacing expensive ink cartridges!

I like the HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format printer. Great for the price. Good qualiy prints. Ink cartridges reasonably price. Only complaint really about this item is that it is not really durable. This is the second one I have purchased the first one replaced the 8600 wide fromat printer that we had had for several years! It WAS a good machine. Bought this one because it is hard to find a "wide format" printer, which we really need in our line of work. And even having to replace it after 2 years, it was the most cost effective for us at this time. We DO use the machine on a daily basis and make numerous copies each day. If you are looking for durability don't purchase, if that is not a major factor, you will get good prints while it is working!

I replaced another HP large format printer. So far, I love it! No issues with printing. This is a great value for the price.

The support staff have be stellar. For some reason the 7000 will not work on Mac (os x 10.5.8) but works well on 10.6.8. The staff / techs have been working with me to get it to work.

I would definately rate this as a very efficient and wonderful machine for either a Business (small or large) and even Home Office. It does just what it says, but very well. Cartidges are affordable. I go thru HP for everthing!

I have read some of the reviews and agree on paper pickup. However that isn't my problem. I have had this printer for about two years, new in the box. I have printed maybe 25 pages yet I have purchased about 3 sets of cartridges. Every time I need it one of the ink cartridges need replaced. I would expect that one could leave the printer on and if it's parked - no ink would drain from the system? I don't know what is going on. I am very dissatisfied with this product and I am an HP fan.

Hi I had already owned the officejet 7000 but it stopped printing in black. Now I looked all around in the local stores and on the internet and did not find another printer with these features. So I just purchased another officejet 7000 and i am looking forward to giving another try. I never had a printer quit on me before with any of the models or makes. So I think it is worth giving it another chance. besides I really like this model it fits into the space I have on my computer desk. I also like that it front loads paper and ejects copys from front. I only have 7.5 inches of height space and this why I cannot use a printer that loads from top. Anyway I think HP is a good company so its worth another try.

I HAVE BEEN AN HP MAN FOR THIRTY YEARS, UNTIL MY WONDEFUL HP OFFICEJET PRO K86OO WENT BAD. WHEN I TRIED TO HAVE IT FIXED I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT FIXABLE. THEN THE PROBLEM BEGAN. I WAS SOLD A PIECE OF JUNK THAT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE OPTION OF PREVIEWING YOUR PRODUCT BEFORE PRINTING IT. I COULD SEE WHY WHEN THE PRODUCT WAS NOT EVEN NEAR WHAT I WAS TRYING TO PRINT. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK I ORDERED THE 7000, KNOWING FOR SURE THAT HP WOULD AND COULD NOT LET ME DOWN TWO TIMES. WELL I WAS WRONG. THE 7000 IS CLOSER TO WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, BUT IT WILL NOT DO WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED AND APPARENTLY THERE IS NO ONE IN SUPPORT WHOM CAN FIND OUT WHY.

We need wide format printers as a part of our everyday requirements. We did have two (2) HP Photosmart Pro B8350 wide format printers that ran great for many years with no problems. When they did start giving us problems, i. e. jammed carrage issues, we found out that HP does not make any of the Photosmart printer lines themselves and, therefore, did not stock or have available any repair parts forcing us to have to buy new printers, With an in-house inventory of UNUSABLE ink cartriges for the B8350 printers worth over $800, we, to say the least, were not happy with HP. The HP Officejet 7000 wide format printer is just "OK". It is not as good as the old HP Photosmart Pro B8350s. Now that we have been running it for a couple of weeks, have found that even the XL size ink cartridges do not give us half as many prints as the large B8350 XL ink cartridges did plus it lacks a number of features that the B8350s had. We are now looking for a different supplier for our wide format printers.

I use this for printing transfers for hats which need to be mirrored and they are not always the same size of paper and this printer is a real nightmare to even think about setting that. It won't save preferences in the printer driver or, if it does, I sure can't figure out how and the mirror setting is really buried. I was really wanting to get away from Epson but now am actually thinking about going back and just using this for photo printing (haven't tried that yet but my old Photosmart printed excellent photos so presume this should equal it or better.

I had this printer at my last job and it worked great as long as I didn't use recycled ink cartridges. Now I needed a wide format printer at home so I went straight for the HP 7000. I don't use it for a lot of color, I have another printer for that, but at work I did and it was fine. But for shooting out tabloid size drawings its great.

What an amazing upgrade from my old HP=ColorPro GA/CAD. It's lighter, a bit smaller and way more efficient. I use the wide format for check prints of Acad dwgs and for newsletter drafts before final printing w/outside vendor. We got 10 years of service out of older printer--hope the new one can match this quaility.

I use my printer primarily for my art work. I do digital photo manipulation. My main complaint would be the cost of the ink compared to the number of prints I get. Could be more by about 25%. I find the amount of time that the printer takes to get started printing after I have set all of the parameters seems a little long. It goes through a series internal mechanical movements then takes a pause and makes one wonder if it is still going to print. But I am a person that need quick results from my efforts. One of the lesser problems is with the construction of the paper insert tray. It is a bit flimsy and a little tough to get adjusted from size to size. You have to double check the alignment or your 8x10 paper runs a little cockeyed. On documents it is not noticeable, but on pictures it is very noticeable when you try you trim them on a paper cutter. All in all I like the results I get from the printer as far as the intensity and color blending on my pics. I had another large format HP 9600 series that was far superior to the 7000. But was not available when my old one broke mechanically.

We are in the process of retiring our HP Color Laserjejt 8550, mainly due to the high cost of consumables and some technical issues we are currently unable to resolve. The Officejet 7000 seemed like a good replacement 13X19 max format, ethernet, etc. Print quality is good. What killed to deal for us was the inability to print from Adobe Acrobat. Let me clarify, our drawings originating from AutoCad or Inventor have an approximate size of 10.5X16.5, small enough to fit comfortably on a 11X17. When we print from AutoCad or Inventor the drawing comes out perfectly. When we print from Adobe Acrobat there is .25" missing from left hand side and 5/8" missing fromthe right hand side of the drawing. This happens regardless if we select borderless or not. Those same Acrobat files printed to our old work horse also give us a perfect print. This appears to be an HP driver issue, which HP tech support suggested I resolve with Adobe! This was supposed to be HP printer number 6 in our office, generally reasonably good experience, but not on this printer. I am returning the printer.

I would not recommend this product because it is very noisy and the last one I bought lasted less than a year before it went belly up. I only bought this one because I had just bought lots of ink and didn't want to lose money on it. I'll see how this one does.

A great choice for students.

I bought this printer when it had an instant rebate and used my HPA student discount. I couldn't believe I'd managed to get a wide format printer at such a great price. All the Wide Format printers I'd seen older students in my program recommend were Epson and Cannon, and those cost upwards of $400 and had way more ink cartridges. Most of the other kids in my classes have had HP's, but not wide format ones. I don't think they thought to look in the Officejet line. I'm a Communication Design ...

I always wanted a wide printer, so I could get into digtal scrapbooking. Thats what I have been doing for 2 weeks now, and its great. I print 12x12 pages and they print borderless and fast and very clear, like you printed your own pictures. I invested in some photo 12x12 paper for the scrapbook, and oh my goodness, its beautiful. Try it, if your into scrapbooking, you'll never go back!
