It apparently does not have enough memory to send a file with multiple pages...very frustrating

The printer was easy to set up and prints nicely. We are printing 24" wide pages and agree with the other reviews that the paper output catch area is not great. The catch cloth is too loose and hangs too low allowing the pages to curl up and get out of sequence. We put a box underneath the cloth to raise up the catch area which seems to have solved the problem.

I have a business that prints construction plans and posters. I bought the HP to replace a machine that was large & complicated. My Hp is simple and scans and prints perfectly, it has easy to follow guides to ensure I'm putting the paper in correctly. The software is easy to use and makes sense. I've looked at other reviews and they mentioned disliking the basket or use of software, these are not problems for me because every other brand of plotter needs to have settings changed in order to print properly.

You'd think a $7000 plotter would be programed to figure out how to print things on a sheet and not cut half of the print off. You'd think it'd allow you to print landscape from the roll to save paper. But no, everytime anyone in our office tried to print or scan anything on this plotter. It's a huge ordeal and I have to step in and fiddle with the printer properties to even get close to the print we want. Do not buy this plotter.

Wonderful machine so far! I just got it last week. This printer/scanner/copier does it all so well! Great value you for the money! I also have a Canon TX3000 large format in my NY office and it has been a piece of junk from the beginning so I really appreciate the quality of this machine!

everything setup easy and prints were accurate... days later had to make a quick print.... turned into a 30 minute ordeal. Still dreaming for a day when technology can keep up.

So far it seems to be running good, only have had it for a short two weeks. It is a not as sturdy as we would like and runs a little slower than our previous machine. Don't like the fact that you cannot feed the next sheet in as the last sheet is finishing. Easy enough to use after you get used to it.

i just purchased the T830 and has great features, but the paper tray at the bottom that catches the paper is a very poor design if you have to print more than 1 drawing. just have a huge pile of drawings at the bottom.

Great plotter for a small surveying business, but right after the year warranty ran out the automatic cutter quit working. It either never cuts, or it starts to cut and releases the cutter assembly halfway across the page, causing a paper rip/jam/crunch when the carriage assembly and paper feed continue doing their thing. The result? Ruined plot = wasted paper = wasted money. There also doesn't appear to be anybody even remotely close to our location in western NC who can repair this, and online troubleshooting and self-help is not product-specific.

Seems to work great. Great quality, fast printing, wifi connection. The only thing i have noticed is that it doesn't wake up from sleep mode when you send a print. I?m sure its just a setting I need to find and adjust. Other than that, it works great.

All in all the printer works fine. But the tray that accepts printed sheets does not allow the sheets to drop in neatly. This makes it tough to print plan sets as you have to stand at the machine and assist the pages to drop in correctly.

The printer fits the need of my design company. We?ll worth the price and the wireless feature make it convenient.

I?ve had HP plotters for nearly 25 years. They have always been a product we could count on. We went with the design jet T830 (replacing our design jet T520) because of the additional features it offers, copy, scan, print, and color. We haven?t used all the features yet as we just received the unit a week ago. Set up was very easy. Everything came in the box as stated and delivered in good condition.

I wish I had bought this a long time ago! Never have to go to Fed Ex again for copies! This fits right in my closet in my office, easy to set up and use, and prints beautifully.

We purchased this machine because our old unit was outdated, slow, and cost too much per page to print. The ink cost was outrageous! This unit has high capacity ink cartridges, it's fast, quiet, and all around awesome!

Yikes! The product may be great but it is really hard to tell. The documentation and user support is thin at best but generally awful. It really shouldn't take an IT expert to set up a simple all in one machine that is recognized on the network and useable out of the box. Printing appears to be pretty straight forward but scanning, especially to a network folder, is much more difficult than it should be. Additionally, all PDF scans default to PDF/A format which are un-editable and generally pretty useless unless your goal is simply to archive a document. We have spent hours trying to find a way to change this setting without success

Except for lugging the box around, (whew!) the unboxing and assembly went very well. Detailed instructions were very good and the system setup was fairly quick and painless. The initial scan and printings were flawless and the quality was real top-shelf. So far so good.

Although I don't do that much printing, stepping up from an HP Designjet 1050C Plus to the Designjet T830 36" is a fantastic improvement in the quality of printing, the ability to utilize various paper sizes and having the ability to scan. There has been a few issues with how to print to 12x18 from the multisheet tray, but I think I have overcome that hurdle.

Plotter print quality is great. We do get some random lines that look a little jagged. Also, 11" x 17" paper feed doesn't seem to be working properly.

It works real well. The ink cartridges are pricey. But we will mainly use the scanner part of it. I have a HP printer to print my maps from. I just need a scanner. I would suggest that they would move HP back to the USA.

Great Time Saver

I've had my T830 since February, 2019, and it has already paid for itself. Prior to purchasing it, it would take a day and hundreds of dollars to complete my project. I first would drive to my Printing Office, 10 miles away, wait for a set of large format prints, then run them back to my office to mark them up. After that, I'd drive back to the printer to scan the plans in color onto a flash drive for a few hundred dollars more. Then, I'd drive back to the office to send out the scans. Now, I...
