This coverage package states that it is was 2 years. In actuality it is only 1 year. It is the initial year you get with your device along with the year you pay for in this package. Do not purchase it is a waste and the money is better off spent taking your device to geek squad or not buying HP at all.

It's been 3 weeks now and I still haven't received any conformation that is 2 year warranty is in affect on my new laptop. It was stated from the beginning that is should happen within the first 2 week. Now I have to contact customer service for this information.

WHY THIS FEEDBACK: I am extremely unhappy with purchase of this 2yr HP Carepack for my Spectre x360. THE STORY: I got a popup from HP Support app installed in laptop notifying my warranty is expiring and offered me to purchase 2yr Accidental insurance coverage for a discounted price only if I "BUY NOW". It really was a good offer as 2yr HP Carepack normally is $170. So (in faith of HP) I clicked the popup and immediately purchased the carepack and got my receipt. TWIST IN STORY: When I received my Carepack it was for 1year only!! THE AGONY: For weeks I followed with HP Care support from one person to another trying to clarify what I been through. Finally I just now (14 May 2021) received call from Cecilia who informed me that I should've scrolled down to read the "Overview" section (instead of simply trusting the popup shown by HP app). So I guess the purpose of popup was to raise FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and get me to buy in a rush without reading minute details. BYT THE WAY, the "Overview" section conveniently doesn't show above the fold on the page, so you have to scroll down. THE LESSON: When you buy from HP do not trust the offer HP gives, and instead always read all the details as you'd buy from any other third party vendors. THE END: Hope my ordeal helps you learn and always remember to be a thoughful buyer. WONDERING WHAT I DID? While chasing HP Care support, I am already late to cancel the HP Carepack, so I will live with it.

My purchase of an extended warranty for my new HP laptop was not reflected on my HP Support Assistant dashboard. And it was a convoluted time-consuming effort to get it updated. It should have been automatic.

It was impossible to registered my HP Care Pack, and impossible to call the service client to help me to resolve that. I did not end to understand what is the correct method to registered my product. I is very disappointing about HP.

The process is too complicated, I don't understand why you had to do it this way. Look at Apple model. Also, you screwed up my previous purchase - took my money and didn't register the care pack.

I'm happy with the pack but the after sale communication on how to implement was a very long time coming and then the registration only accepted a portion of my serial number.
