MORE OR LESS EFFICIENT

This printer replaced another HP that we've used for over 15 years without issue. So far this M555 is excellent, and as with all HP products in my experience, will be the little workhorse that we need. Buying directly from HP was the best decision. . . the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable, guided me to the right choice for our company, and was very patient and helpful.

I applied for the HP Care Pack three weeks ago and have yet to hear from HP that it was approved. This review request is the only communication I've received.

No Communication

I purchased the $400 installation support and network setup for my new Designjet T830. While purchasing, the customer service person told me that someone would come within 5 business days. We are a mechanical contractor so using wide format prints is a very important part of our daily work. After 5 business days, I called customer service. They could not find my equipment serial number, my service pak for installation, nor my 3 year NBD service pak. I had to send email with pictures of the box and paperwork to prove that I purchased anything. It took me 21 days of calling every day, getting bounced around from department to department (sometimes 8-10 people a day), and talking to multiple supervisors before I could get someone here. I even told them I wanted them to pick it back up and they refused to give me a refund. Very disappointed and frustrated by the way I was treated. I also did not like that everyone I talked to was from a foreign country. I had a very hard time understanding them. 

I do have to say that the technician that came to perform the installation was very nice and helpful. He was efficient, had a good personality, and knew what he was doing. I was satisfied with him.

EXTREME FRUSTRATION

It prints well, and quickly, but it required far more calls to support over network issues and other things than our comparable Brother device. I wouldn?t buy this machine again, and HP won?t allow me to return it.

Not great

I have been an HP purchaser for 30 years - with Laptops, Desktops and Printers only from HP - nobody else. My last HP printer lasted 25 years. I purchased a new HP printer when my old one died - along with the printer I purchased the optional wireless adapter. I also purchased the HP Care Pack. After over 6 hours on several occasions on the phone with their techs I was unable to get this new printer to work. I finally gave up, sent it back and bought a Brother printer. Their tech help was unable to get their own product up and running.

I will never buy an HP Printer EVER again!

Still having issues with resolving the warranty problems on this care pack. HP plays a game of taking weeks to respond to every request to add support. The printer comes with a warranty that isn't from the sale date. Good luck getting HP to fix that issue. It has taken me over a month and nothing is resolved.

Don't do! HP may not apply warranty

I've only had this product for a couple of days... so far so good, no complaints, easy set up, works flawlessly so far. Too early to give it 5 stars

I replaced my Cannon plotter with the HP DesignJet T530 and was disappointed that I have to use HP Click to plot drawing from AutoCad. There is no drivers available and Apple uses a generic printer driver to make the plotter work. What a pain to convert the DWG to a PDF then open Click to plot the D size drawing.

Disappointed

Placed order for unit on 4/13/2020. We have continuing problem with hardware not printing. We purchased onsite hardware customer support. Due to Covid-19 pandemic no one will come out to repair the unit. We are sending the unit back and asking for a replacement.

I have owned many plotters and this is my favorite to date.

Great plotter and so easy to use and set up

I spent over an hour on the phone with the sales office, the guy was very helpful. I told him the price I was seeing on Amazon for the printer, ink and paper combo. He said he can match that price and even do better, he could add a warranty. So I took the option he offered. I received my order and there is no paper. I have tried calling but with it being a Saturday I can't get anyone on the phone. I have no idea when the paper will be here, or if I should go buy some so I can try out my new printer. I am actually super frustrated right now, but due to how well he helped me I won't go less than the 4 stars.

So far mostly good, except for one thing

I always buy the extra support for my large printers. It is worth every penny to know someone can take care of a problem, especially when you are in the middle of an important job and something happens. Even if you never use it, it’s nice to know that it is there in case if emergency.

3 Year Onsite Hardware Support worth every cent

We bought a T120 Large Format Printer that has made my job so much easier. It works perfectly every time
