I bought this monitor over a month ago and tested it out before reviewing. It is an excellent monitor for both gaming and work. It has a clear image and allows you to make some adjustments as needed if you want a different image. The only downside is that it has no sound system so you will need to buy your own speakers.

Pros: Monitor is good looking and displays images in great detail. The refresh rates and motion quality is fantastic. Controls are easy to use when calibrating monitor to desired settings. Cons: Across many images on HP's site it shows a clear picture of all the green areas being lit up. This is not the case, even support agreed, so they sent me a replacement monitor. Still no difference in the green lights. After speaking with support again I was told the only green lighting will occur in the middle bottom area, the rest are overlays. Pardon my candor but, as you will see in photos clearly the difference.

Ordered system. Got monitor first. Got PC weeks later. Didn't work. Called support. They had me return the PC. After many weeks got the replacement. Still didn't work. NOW they think it is the monitor. I can return and wait 3 weeks to get a monitor back. Over 2 months and still no working system. I am livid.

I cannot say enough about this monitor. I have lost some of my vision through overuse of a bad monitor. This monitor has several technical specs to save your vision over the years. It has a pixel resolution of 2560x1440?often shortened to 1440p and this is much, much better than a 4K resolution because the brightness will kill your eyes. This monitor has a low-blue light button, both contrast and brightness can be adjusted, and it has a really high refresh rate of 144 hertz? this makes a HUGE difference on your eyes as you work in the monitor for long periods of time. It also has IPS technology. This monitor rocks. I have FINALLY found a monitor for life. I hope this info helps someone. It took me a long time to find the tech specs that were essential to maintaining good vision. Best of luck!

My son has wanted a gaming monitor for a while! This one was absolutely easy to hook up! The visuals are great! It was packaged really well! I have zero complaints! We have been searching for a while and this one is reasonably priced compared to others without sacrificing all the other qualities! I actually use this monitor for watching hulu,listening to music and editing photos, and I am just Blown away by how amazing the picture is. I love being able to adjust the picture as well and the ambient light is perfect at night.

HP isn't know for great gaming monitors and this monitor is a good one for casual gamers. Hardcore gamers prefer a 4k monitor but this one does the trick who is looking for a better than average monitor. The refresh rate is 144hz meaning that games will look great at this refresh rate. The ever slightest refresh and be a huge advantage especially those than play shooters. The display is beautiful and it also allows me to be place vertical or horizontal. This makes a great monitor for coders. You can adjust the height of the monitor to your liking. There are physical buttons to setup the monitor and the bezels are thin. Maybe even too thin to mount a webcam. It takes display port (cord not included) or hdmi (cord included) to connect to your desktop. The drawbacks are it doesn't have hdr,speakers, usb ports and it is quite heavy for a monitor. For looks, there is a green light at the bottom of the monitor which can also be turn off. I recommend this gaming monitor for casual gamers and coders.

I've been using 27inch 4k monitors for productivity and wanted to try a high refresh rate monitor for gaming - This monitor fits the purpose very well. For the price I got 27 inch, 1440p, 144hz and IPS display. The difference between 60hz and 144hz is huge! The cursor and the motion feels much smoother in this monitor compared to my 60hz display and I won't go back to the 60hz for gaming ever again :) I was worried about the button controls per some other reviews but it didn't bother me at all. Overall it's a great gaming monitor for such a good price.

Well seeing as I?m a noob for the most part, I decided to go for this one as it seemed well priced for the specs it gives. The bevel seems a little thin to me, but that?s nothing to subtract points for. The refresh rate is great, granted I don?t have everything I need to max out at 144Hz, but it?s up there! Overall I think this is a great monitor for any home to have, especially beginning gamers and little more advanced ones with better technology. Great specs, amazing color and smoothness, just overall great monitor!

It is a decent size screen. Played 3 games on it the first night. The coloring in the screen is great and i even watched a movie on it. Its a very nice screen and also fits well on desk. Pretty heavy.
