I didn't personally get this product but a friend did and she said the results are fantastic. It's heavy and sturdy and prints perfectly for what she needs.

I love this printer it is the best printer I've ever had and it prints wonderful and beautiful pictures and it's very fast and really reliable and you can do so much with this printer then the other one I've had and great support

Easy connectivity
This is great photo printer gives out high quality prints and an efficient speed? easy to connect and ink seems to last a while? paper handling is also quite easy

Nightmare
The software for the Z9 is terrible. The Z9 is my 5th HP large format printer. The last one was the Z3200. It was a good a printer, and with a few upgrades would have been a great printer. But HP had to go ahead and design a completely new printer. One that I feel was rushed and full of problems. Many compatibility issues with the Adobe Creative Cloud. Many hours on the phone with HP reps. They know the Z9 has problems and they don't have any solutions. The starter cartridges are ridiculously small. You will have to buy the full size ones right away at a cost of over $1,400.00. No USB connection for the printer. You have to use an ethernet connection. The Z9 runs a 5 step preparing print system every week that takes over 45 minutes. What a waste of time! I checked the ink level on a couple of low cartridges before the interruption. Ink level dropped by 3%. So every preparing print system it is wasting 3% of the ink cartridge's. You will have problems with this printer every week, if not every day. The HP techs said to leave the printer on all the time and let it go into sleep mode to avoid it from running the preparing print system. The problem is that the printer will randomly turn back on and will not go back into sleep mode. That is dangerous having the printer stay on constantly. Then you have to turn it off and risk it running the preparing print system again.

It's alright
Not for the everyday person. The item is really expensive and can be hard to figure out if you have problems. Unless you are using this for something advanced would t recommend it

Very Large colorful poster printer.
This is a good large poster printer to be used in a school or office or business. I would not recommend for personal use as the size of this printer is very large and take up space and the cost of the ink cartridges if used constantly could be not cost effective if wast used on investment return. But if you are using for purposes you need for I recommend. I personally at home print on demand for my small business and this is being used in the school. It works great prints quickly and quietly color is great full coverage no missing spots great printer.

This is massive and works well. I'm not too sure how often I'll use it bc I don't really print anything of this size but its quality is pretty good. If you need a large printer it's not bad.

Worst Model!
We had bought this machine in December 2021 from a supplier in Kerala, India. Last February, we had a major issue with the machine which took many days to rectify. Its an error code that even the company people were baffled to recitfy. Now the same issue has happened after 6 months. We have made an investment on this particular brand/model and we expect it to perform in accordance. Our work it stuck due to this. I think this particular model has some sort of manufacturing defect. What are we supposed to do? The company should look into this matter with utmost urgency and either provide a replacement for this machine.

Exceeded Expectations!
Our company purchased this printer for our large poster/graphics usage. It did not disappoint. Colors are vibrant, paper/media types are great, and the overall product is terrific. Read the owners manual, and dialed everything in. Very user-friendly and self-explanatory. The vertical trimmer, dual roll, and photo quality booster pack are amazing! I've had zero issues and we've had this now for about 4 months. Customer service has always been available and timely. We even have their service tech on hand to come out and service this machine as they do with all others we own. Would highly recommend.

Great Printer
I see the other reviews that this is a horrible printer. I have to disagree. I've been using mine for four years now. It has, like any printer, its idiosyncrasies, but, I have printed about 8 miles of prints in that time and find this printer to be outstanding.. enough so that I am purchasing another.

Piece of garbage
My current situation is still ongoing... this machine is a horrible piece of garbage. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered another print cartridge... brand new. I inserted it and now there is an error code on another one of the brand new cartridges. AAAGGGGHHH!!!. I CAN'T PRINT...ERROR CODES EVERYWHERE. THIS THING JUST SPITS OUT ERROR CODES. HOPING THAT THE INDIVIDUAL WILL KEEP BUYING NEW CARTRIDGES TO REPLACE NEW CARTRIDGES.
If these reviews are monitored
1. I would like to get my money back
or
2. A replacement of another different model plotter
3. Or a sledge hammer to quell my frustration on this piece of useless junk

All my previous plotters functioned appropriately. They over designed this thing, and it just spits out errors.... I have only been able to print out 6 drawings on this thing over the last few months... waste of my time... and money!!! GOOD GRIEF!!! All I can think of, is to take this thing out into the desert and use it for target practice. If I could give it a lower rating I surely would...

Postscript printer did not have postscript install
The postscript printer did not have software/firmware installed. Working with technicians we finally got it working but it remains slower than the Z6 and only slightly faster than the T790 it replaced.

It not a Z3200
Replaced my Z3200 with the Z9. Still trying to get colors looking like the prints from the Z3200 but can not. The printers does work great loading paper and touch screen controls.

Great Product and Great Adorama Service
I originally ordered the HP DesignJet Z9+ without the dual roll, vertical cutter, option. On the day the product shipped, I changed my mind and wanted the HP DesignJet Z9+dr with the dual roll and vertical cutter. Thanks to Meyer F., Adorama's sales rep, they called back the shipment and changed the order to the higher end model -- that's great customer service. I am so glad I ordered from Adorama. I doubt other shops would have made the extra effort to call back a shipment to get me the product I wanted.
