This is amazing paper. I am using it for a long term, collaborative project, currently on exhibition at the Sachs Museum in St. Louis. The paper is heavy and prints beautifully. It faithfully renders images with shapness missing in other rag papers we tested.

The Hahnemuhle Matte Photo Rag 308 g/m2 is an excellent inkjet paper, boasting a smooth, professional matte finish. The 100% cotton rag paper is robust, giving prints a high-quality feel. It provides accurate color reproduction, impressive detail, and excellent contrast. It performs exceptionally well with my Canon Pro-300 inkjet printer, with quick-drying ink and no smudging issues. It's also acid-free, promoting longevity for your prints.

However, the premium quality comes with a higher price tag, and the paper's surface can be delicate, needing careful handling. Despite this, the paper's quality justifies the cost for professional use, and I highly recommended this product for those seeking superior print results.

Great for Long Prints

This is the best paper to work with when you are reproducing art. When I print on this opulent paper the reproductions rival the original artwork. A must if you are producing limited edition replicas of any fine art pieces.

The richest paper out there.

Paper arrived in good condition despite bad packing. I placed two separate orders. Both were not packed well. This particular product is very fragile and it was sheer luck it wasn?t damaged. Other than that, good.

Great Paper

It's my favorite paper. I print on it 8" x 10" up to 40" x 60" for museum displays—though not on the same printer. The surface is amazing. But paper choice is personal. I like this paper.

Great fine art paper

Gorgeous deep velvety blacks, super-crisp lines, bright and clean colors! Everything they say about this paper is true and then some. ABSOLUTELY worth the price if you’re creating your own inkjet fine art prints. My only issue is it’s been so hard to find lately, but that’s not the paper’s fault.

Quality archival paper

I have become very dependent on the Hahnemuhle Matt Photo Rag poper, particularly the 188 gsm weight. The surface is perfect for accepting the deep black inks that I like to use in my printing. The weight is also the best not only for handling in a small portfolio edition, but I have also used it for exhibitions on a scale of 53"x 80"printed from rolls. It is perfect for handling on both scales. And the slightly warm tone has also worked very well with portraiture and figure. Just don't sell it all!

My favorite printing paper for portfolio and book projects, having tested more than 34 papers.

great paper

I have printed thousands of images on this paper, myself. The icc profiles available from Hahnemuhle are quite accurate and the paper itself is heavy enough for the most demanding pigment loading without any sign of performance fatigue. Briefly, I use two papers, Baryta Gloss and this Matte paper. Frankly, if you are not using this paper you are missing something quite extraordinary, and if you don't like the paper, perhaps a new printer is in order... up your print performance by upgrading your hardware. There is a pipeline to all of this, everything and anything could change the way you feel about your printing results. For me, now on my 5th printer and printing (analog and digital combined) for nearly 50 years. The Canon Prograf PRO 1000 is the best overall printer for using all types substrates to produce the  highest quality prints on high density papers. Hope this helps and you are happy with this product.

Best paper ever!

I print b&w almost exclusively with piezography inksets. The results are stunning. I've been using this paper since the 90's and have no immediate plans to change to another product.. While producing beautiful images this paper does have a few drawbacks i.e: the finished image is extremely delicate and will not tolerate rough handling. The second being a tendency for the paper's coating to occasionally foul the printers paper feed mechanism with it's coating thus causing slippage. A quick wipe with a moist cloth usually resolves this.... All in all a small price to pay for such delightful results.

Velvety Blacks

Hahnemuhle is the only paper I go to for my archival art prints. While on the more expensive side, the extra dollars are worth the matte coating and very defined edges, which is essential for my botanical work.

I love the subtle texture of this paper.  Details are rendered very well. The blacks are very black and I get great tones

Excellent paper

The paper was poorly packed, and one corner was bent so badly it made it impossible to use any of the 25 sheets. I have encountered problems with this in shipments from other companies as well, so perhaps Hanhemuhle should consider using a stronger, thicker box to eliminate the problem to a large degree. It's a really great product but if you can't use it what difference does that make?

I have been using this paper over four years and never had a problem. Especially if you are interested in texture and smooth touch

Amazing Texture and Smooth feeling

I use this paper for black and white landscape prints and the extra white of the paper adds to the contrast of the matt paper

So far I've only printed three B&W prints and I'm very happy with the results. It's thinner paper than I expected.

Beautiful surface and printed easily on the Epson 3800. The paper is quite thin however so handle very carefully.
