When I tested the setup before using the housing, the lens hit the lens port some of the time, but not every time. I limited the use of the zoom to avoid this problem once in the water. I handed the camera to my wife and she did not know about the limit. When she zoomed all the way out the lens hit. The instructions say to to press the on off button to restart if this happens. This did not fix the problem. I had to return to the boat and remove the camera from the case to reset the camera. This is the only underwater case I have used that had this problem, and if I had known of the problem before purchase I would not have spent $ on this case.

I have no point of comparison, as this is the first camera housing I've bought. I've used it on two dives so far (70' and 30') and the photos I took were flawless. The Ikelite was incredibly easy to use and the seals felt great, so I wasn't worried about my camera.

Are you a photography enthusiast seeking a durable and high-quality underwater housing for your Panasonic Lumix ZS100, TZ100, or TZ101 digital camera This innovative underwater housing, designed by the reputable brand Ikelite, is the perfect solution for capturing stunning underwater images and videos.
This stylish and protective housing is specifically tailored for the Panasonic Lumix ZS100, TZ100, and TZ101 digital cameras, ensuring seamless compatibility and a perfect fit. It allows you to utilize all the essential functions of your camera up to depths of 200 feet (60m), making it an ideal companion for your underwater adventures.
The housing features large, easy-to-reach controls, including the rear dial and custom function controls, all placed in a configuration similar to the camera's layout. This design allows for intuitive operation, leveraging the muscle memory you've developed from using your camera on land. The rear controls are marked with laser-engraved symbols that are easy to see and won't fade or fall off.
The front-loading camera mounting system simplifies installation and removal, while the camera mounting plate provides ready access to the battery and memory card. The plate also features a standard 1/4-20 mounting point for attaching to a tripod topside.
The glass lens port of the housing has been optimized for a wide angle to macro range of 25-200mm, ideal for underwater use with or without optional accessories. Note that the camera cannot be zoomed beyond 200mm while installed in the housing with the standard lens port.
For those seeking to capture macro close-ups, a press-fit Macro Adapter (sold separately) is available for the attachment of 67mm threaded accessory macro lenses. However, the adapter should not be used with 67mm threaded wide-angle lenses.
The housing also supports the use of an optional Wide Angle Port M67 for Panasonic ZS100 TZ100, which can be used in place of the housing's standard port for use of 67mm threaded external wide-angle lenses. This port is positioned as close to the camera's lens as possible for the best image quality and minimal vignetting (dark shadows in the corners of the image) with external wet lenses.
To preserve the natural colors of your underwater subjects, it's recommended to stay within arm's reach - no more than 3-4 feet (1m) away. Additional color correction and clarity can be obtained by adding a color filter or external light. The housing's lens port accepts 3.9-inch diameter color filters, available for both tropical blue water and green water settings.
The housing is made from a new ABS-PC blend that provides strength and corrosion-free performance year after year with minimal maintenance. The light gray color deflects the sun to keep your camera running cooler, longer, and provides superior contrast for an enhanced view of the camera, LCD screen, and o-ring seal.
This underwater housing is designed, built, and tested in the USA, using locally sourced, top-grade materials. Each unit is water pressure tested to 200 feet (60m), ensuring its durability and reliability. With over 50 years of experience, Ikelite backs their products with the best reputation for service within the dive industry.
