Unlike wet lenses that can create a challenging double water line at the surface, this 6" diameter dry dome smoothens the waterline while maintaining a compact and lightweight design for easy travel. Underwater, the dome significantly increases your angle of coverage compared to a flat port, exhibiting less edge distortion than an external wet wide-angle lens.

The DC4 Dome Port corrects for refraction underwater, providing a substantially wider field of view than a flat port, which magnifies the image 1.33x and reduces the field of view. With the dome installed, you can utilize approximately 3/4 of the camera's zoom range.

At the surface, the large dry dome offers greater control for capturing clean, smooth water lines in split shots. This type of shot can be challenging with a flat port or a wet lens or dome due to double water lines.

The dome is easy to use and replaces the standard port on the housing. Simply unthread the standard flat port and thread in the DC4 Dome unit. The included dome shade reduces reflections, protects the dome, and allows you to set the housing down on its face for easy assembly and disassembly.
