Ikelite 200DLM/A Underwater Housing for Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III Mirrorless Camera

While the 200DLM/A Underwater Housing is specifically designed for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III mirrorless micro four-thirds camera, it is more than just a protective casing. This underwater housing allows photographers to take their Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III on any aquatic adventure, be it scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, or poolside photography.

The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III, the third in the E-M5 series, boasts a redesigned, compact body that is smaller than its predecessor. It features a 20-megapixel micro four-thirds sensor, similar to the highly respected E-M1 Mark II camera. With a 121-point hybrid autofocus system and 5-axis in-body image stabilization system, this camera is capable of capturing sharp, high-quality images. For video enthusiasts, the E-M5 II offers 4K 30p and 24p capture, as well as high-speed 1080/120p.

The 200DLM/A Underwater Housing enhances the camera's ergonomics, making it easier to focus on composition, focus, and exposure. Large, curved control levers provide easy access to shutter and autofocus controls. The housing also supports back button focus, a technique useful for capturing super macro and fast-moving subjects.

The housing features premium soft-touch knobs for intuitive operation of rotating controls. The stainless steel, direct-drive rotating controls are virtually fail-safe and user-serviceable. All camera buttons are accessible via smooth-action, hard-anodized aluminum push buttons. The controls are clearly labeled by laser engraving on the back of the housing for easy identification.

The housing includes two 1/4-20 threaded mounting points for easy attachment of a tray and handle system. The Tray with Dual Quick Release Handles # 9523.64 is a popular choice for both handling and attachment of accessories.

The camera mount is front-loading for easy installation and removal. A small mounting plate attaches to the bottom of the camera and secures in the front of the housing. The mounting plate does not need to be removed from the camera for surface use or when changing the battery or memory cards.

The unique rear seal design of the housing prevents accidental twisting or stretching of the o-ring, ensuring a confident assembly. The clear back allows you to see the o-ring form a solid, watertight seal as it closes.

The housing also supports vacuum testing with the optional Vacuum Kit # 47012. This allows you to check for leaks before entering the water, providing extra security.

The camera's large, super-bright LCD screen is viewable edge-to-edge through the back of the housing. An included magnified optical viewfinder enhances viewing of the camera's electronic viewfinder (EVF) for both image composition and review.

For optimal underwater lighting, we recommend adding an external flash or high-powered constant-on light. The Olympus TTL Kit # 46032 and a compatible Ikelite DS strobe can provide the fastest and most accurate TTL exposure on the market.

The 200DLM/A Underwater Housing accepts ports from our DLM Port System to accommodate a selection of the best zoom, macro, and wide-angle lenses for underwater use. Our custom optical grade acrylic domes components provide the color, clarity, and durability of glass at a fraction of the travel weight and cost.

Made from a white ABS-PC blend, the housing provides strength and corrosion-free performance with minimal maintenance. The light color provides superior contrast for enhanced view of the camera, LCD screen, and o-ring seal.
