Really good
Great system camera for children. Bought as present for 8-year old daughter. It has lots of settings including proper manual mode, where iso,aperture and shot time can be adjusted, it has working light sensor, lots of modes, can do good video. As of batteries, indeed it needs good AA batteries - no difference to li-ion batteries of "proper" dslrs. I use 4gen enerloops, they are affordable. Negatives: I highly doubt it has 16mp sensor. It will goes down to forced 4mp once shoot time is faster...
