Prints using KODAK EKTATHERM XLS Media look and feel like traditional photographs, and overhead transparencies glow on the screen with rich, vibrant colors. CMYK output simulates the printed page. The photo quality output derives from decades of experience in developing complex dyes and manufacturing precision papers for traditional photographic products. All this expertise has been transferred to our media. Dyes and ribbons have been formulated for accurate flesh tones, good neutrals and rich colors. Paper and transparency materials have been carefully designed to give you photo quality.

KODAK EKTATHERM XTRALIFE Media uses a clear, protective overcoat to protect your images. They resist damage from fingerprints, and dye transfer to plastic folders, and fade less under intense lighting. Although we don't recommend you treat your prints like this . . . don't worry if an accident does happen. When we wiped the print dry, it looked like new. The clear laminate layer which is applied in a separate pass in the printing process process extends the life of your print. You can handle prints made w/ Xtralife media with confidence.

Extensive testing has been done to demonstrate that KODAK XTRALIFE Media fade less under intense lighting. This extends the life of the prints.
In addition to protecting CMY prints from handling mishaps, the clear laminate layer also prevents the print's dyes from transferring to plastic sleeves and folders.
