I teach a college class in which my students build experiments to be launched in a balloon. The experiments have to survive a flight to 100,000 feet and return via parachute. I needed a camera that could automatically take continuous video for two hours at a reasonable price. I bought four cameras for a 6 Nov 2010 flight. All performed flawlessly and returned excellent video of a dark sky at noon. The only extra thing I had to purchase was a Kodak remote started for $10/camera. I cannot think of better recommendation than the two hour, 19 mile high, minus 60 degree at altitude, flight.

I took this camera on a family trip and was able to get a lot of great videos as well as still shots. It is super easy to use and goes everywhere with me now.

Nice little camera to use in daylight, not so much in low light. I've used this as a 'stunt' camera clamped to cars and cycles to provide interesting cut away shots. So far so good!
