Great kit for beginners
This is by far the best kit for a beginner trying to develop black and white film for the first time. Everything is already pre-measured, just use all the content in the sachets to develop two rolls of 35 mm. You won't use all the content from the wetting agent, that one will last for 16 rolls or 35mm!
Does what it says on the tin
For someone just getting back into home developing, this was a perfect starter pack. While it's definitely going to be cheaper to buy separate concentrates from here on out, having a quick way to see if I really wanted to get back into darkroom work was great (though, that was a silly question, since the answer was obviously yet).
ILFORD SIMPLICITY Film Developer is a liquid concentrate black & white film developer in an easy to use sachet. Each sachet contains the correct amount of photo chemicals to develop 2 rolls of 35mm (135) film or 1 roll of 120 film when using a 2-reel, 600ml developing tank at a dilution of 1+9.
The sachet contains the popular ILFORD ILFOSOL 3. This film developer is formulated to exploit the full potential of conventional black & white film emulsions, delivers fine grain and optimal sharpness and is well suited to beginners and advanced users alike.
