I have been scanning and printing projects that were originally done years ago using film and darkroom printing, digitally. This specific paper had the look and feel closest to the original silver portfolio in tone and feel. It is a very rich looking paper.

I have tried many photo papers and this is simp.ly the best paper I have ever used. At $150 for 50 sheets of 13" x 19" paper, it is also a value well worth the price when you consider that 10 sheets of the same size paper is $50. The images printed with this paper have vibrant colors and just the right amount of gloss for fabulous landscapes.

Ilford gold fiber silk paper has a smooth texture and luster finish that offer very high resolution for sharp landscape or macro photographs. The slightly warm tone is complimentary for color or B&W portraits. It is a wonderful fine art paper for your best prints.

I love this paper especially for color portraits - beautiful facial color tones. The texture and weight of the paper are also excellent.

The Ilford GALERIE Prestige Gold Fibre Silk (44" x 39" Roll) features an inkjet layer coated directly onto a true baryta (barium sulphate) layer and fibre base to produce images with exceptional gamut for vivid color reproduction as well as creamy whites and velvety blacks for the unique look of traditional silver halide photo paper.
The media creates high definition images with an extended tonal range and excellent archival properties making it a must for exhibition quality prints. This versatile media is perfect for color images with vibrancy and depth or for producing a sympathetic re-creation of a traditional black and white image. As with true black and white images, the photographer can create the look of chemically toned sepia, gold, selenium and blue images but unlike chemical toning, the number of variations are only limited by the photographer's imagination. Gold Fibre Silk is compatible with both pigment and dye based printers.
