Shopper : What Ilford paper is comparable to Galerie smooth pearl that was in the red box?JAMES S : The Ilford new Prestige smooth pearl is the same finish as the old Galerie smooth pearl. The difference is in the weight of the paper. The old paper was 290 gsm/290 micron and the new is 310 gsm/310micron, a little heavier. A good paper!BRYAN H : This Gallerie Prestige Smooth Pearl is even better. The same wonderful finish we expect from Illford and now just slightly heavier in weight. It still comes out perfect everytime. LOLETA S : I love this paper it gives you a very professional pictureJOHN R : The Ilford Galerie Prestige Smooth Pearl replaced the Smooth Pearl in the red box. Good Paper, Nice Finish

I like Ilford products and this one holds up as well. The smooth pearl gives a nice finish and it prints great on an Epson et-8550. Only had one hiccup where I believe an incorrect setting led to smearing but a printhead cleaning fixed that issue but it seems the paper is sensitive at least to the correct profile being chosen. Otherwise has printed great and looks great in a frame.

Quality Paper

Ilford Galerie papers are the best ink jet papers I use. They are consistent in quality, dependable results and have a fair price point. I also use Ilford darkroom papers and they are fantastic there too.

An excellent paper

Excellent weight and a surface that will perfectly reproduce anything your printer throws at it. You can spend much more , but unless you are looking for a paper with a specialty effect all it's own I wouldn't bother. The 13x19 version of this same paper can have problems staying flat, but this size is just excellent, and won't break your budget.

Great Paper!

I'm a student at Texas Tech and this was my first photo paper purchase besides darkroom photo paper. I knew Ilford from the darkroom process papers so I knew this was going to be just as good quality. I was not disappointed. It prints beautifully and is the perfect semi-matte paper!

Perfect Paper

My wife is assembling an album from family photographs dating back to the 1890. The pearl finish is perfect for the job. I tested the paper's ability to render colors properly when using the profile provided by Ilford for my printer. The results were exceptional. This paper is now my go to paper when I need prints of the highest quality.

Professional paper

I furnish family members and many others with color photos printed on various sizes of this Galerie paper. It is non-smudging, fast drying and has a superior non-reflective finish. I have used these papers for about four years and I feel qualified to comment on its superiority.

This is my photo paper of choice

Have used this paper for 10 years. It was part of the ILford Studio System.This is the latest version and it is a little heavier. The Pearl surface looks great and does a good job of not showing fingerprints.It does help to wash your hands when handling to minimize body oil and/or wear gloves.
