Great fine grain developer. I've used and liked Kodak D-76 but now that I've tried D-11 I love it's fine grain and overall contrast and image quality. This is definitely a great option for optimal quality results!

This is a trusted product that delivers every time. Gives micro grain with the broadest exposure latitude on silver rich films.

No authentic western chili goes without a dash of Ilford ID11+. It is best when mixed with white wine instead of water - I prefer a good Vouvray. Yum! I usually use it as a base to saute the garlic

I have been using ID11 for a long while and it always produces a great negative. Whether you are scanning or printing in the darkroom, you will be happy with the results.

Very easy to mix! Used as a stock solution on ilford FP4 120 and 1:1 for T-max 100 4x5 .Negatives were fine grained and easy to print.

Basically the same as D-76. Great general purpose developer. I've used it for Ilford, Kodak films with no issues. I've even used it on 30 year old expired Plus X and Tri-X.

Don't be intimidated by powder! I've been using ID-11 for small-batch hand processing for decades (yikes, showing age). I make my best 645 and 4x5 frames in ID-11. If you're a Dektol/D-76 users, give ID-11 a try, before it's all gone! Great product.

Because achieving fine grain negatives without sacrificing emulsion speed is crucial for photographers, the Ilford ID-11 Film 5L Developer Powder for Black and White Film is an ideal choice. This developer is renowned for its ability to deliver an exceptional balance of fine grain, sharpness, and tonal rendition, making it suitable for all film formats. The ID-11 developer is supplied in powder form, ensuring consistent performance throughout its working life. It is a Metol-Hydroquinone borax type developer, which can be prepared as a stock solution for standard tank or tray use. For those who prefer extended development times and enhanced sharpness, the solution can be further diluted at ratios of 1+1 or 1+3, allowing for a "one-shot" use.
The development times at 68 Degree F (20 Degree C) for Ilford Delta 100 35mm film are as follows: 7 minutes with the stock solution, 10 minutes when diluted 1+1, and 15.5 minutes when diluted 1+3. For Ilford Delta 400 35mm film at 400 exposure, the development times are 7 minutes for the stock solution, 10.5 minutes for the 1+1 dilution, and 18 minutes for the 1+3 dilution. A single liter of the working strength stock solution can process up to 10 rolls of 35mm or 120 film, while the 1+1 dilution can handle up to 5 rolls of the same formats.
For optimal results, it is important to note the storage guidelines: an unopened full bottle of ID-11 stock solution can be stored for up to 6 months, whereas a half-full bottle has a storage life of 1 month. Once diluted, the solution should be used immediately as a "one-shot" developer and is not suitable for storage. This makes the Ilford ID-11 Film 5L Developer Powder a reliable and versatile choice for photographers seeking high-quality black and white film development.
