Adorama has been very good on this transaction, they let me know promptly that 2 of the photo paper packs were on back order

If you print in the darkroom using silver gelatin, the Ilford MG Art 300 paper feels like an authentic B&W print. I love the texture, warmth and subtle tonality. I've used other fiber paper, but the MG Art 300 is the most expressive for my type of work. I've been printing 11x20, but wanted to attempt a larger print of 16x20. Wish me luck.

Very nice paper. It's textured like a high end watercolor paper. The emulsion seems to be glossy, but it does not look glossy because of the texture of the paper. It's pretty contrasty, which is something I personally like, I found myself using much lower grade filters than usual. It's so textured that it pops out of a vertical archival washer and you need to press it down with something. It dries pretty flat. Overall it's a really interesting combination of Hahnemuhle paper and Ilford emulsion, it's a unique fine art paper.

There's something very moody, pleasing and creative about this paper, not like anything else out there, definitely goes beyond your expectations.

The best part about this paper is it's texture. It reminds me of printing on a cotton rag paper. Do be careful not to let it was for too long, otherwise the paper will begin to break down on the edges. It has a very warm tone, which is lovely if you like that style of printing. It prints very similar to other Ilford paper products as far as time and filter are concerned.
