Outstanding film! Extremely fine grain. To my eye, digital photos just can't match the depth and richness of an analog photo. Perhaps I am biased, but I know what I like. Attached are a few test frames of PAN F shot with Pentax 645 and strobe with umbrella triggered by a hot shoe mounted pocket wizard.

Ilford Pan F is a lovely film, especially in 120. Super fine grain and a great tonal range. I don’t print in the darkroom yet, but for scanning + digital print production it’s fantastic.

Great film for photographs high in contrast. I use a tripod because the ISO is so low.

I am busy with Sabatier prints and iso 50 gives the sharpness I need for creating exquisite Mackie lines. It’s terrific for ultra fine grain photos as advertised and I would add rather excellent over terrific!

One of the best, if not the best, low speed black and white films available--fine grain, exceptional tones, producing high detail and clarity. I always buy from Adorama--their products and customer service is great.

Took this to use with my Mamyia RB67 while hiking in Devil's Lake State Park. Great quality and experience. Will definitely use it again for landscapes and a few other projects I have in mind such as macros and botanical shoots I have coming up.

Ilford Pan F plus 50 is a smooth black and white film. Great tonal range and those silky blacks we all love.

I use Pan F 50 in a 6x9 format for a wide range of photography, from landscape to outside still life/fine art work. It's a slow film, but it's gorgeous, sharp, contrasty, and shows very little grain even up to very big enlargements. In a hybrid workflow, where the film is scanned, it's very easy to work with in post.

I've been shooting PanF for a while and developing in ilfosol 3, and I absolutely love this film. Low ASA films are a blast to use almost exclusively for using fast apertures in normal bright sunlight. Bottom line is buy this film, you won't be disappointed.

The 120 version of this film is great, lovely contrasts. Use it both in studio (Portrait) and out in daylight (urban/architecture).

For close to three decades, Ilford PanF (now PanF Plus) has been my film of choice for most of my black and white landscape, travel and fine art photography. The film is virtually grain-free and sharp, and has a wonderful tonal range. For those using a hybrid system, the film - not surprisingly - scans very well. The only shortcoming of PanF Plus relates to its speed: for optimal results, a tripod is strongly recommended (in my case, it is a virtual necessity because I almost always employ filters - either red, orange or yellow - when shooting black and white film).

Just hands-down the best B&W film available; the only thing that I've ever seen come remotely close is specially processed tech-pan (now unavailable). If you're shooting B&W, don't bother with anything else. I'd especially recommend this film to beginners so they can see what film's really capable of. Chromogenic stuff like you get in the drugstore just doesn't come close.

This is the perfect film for my RB67. Slow film + big negative = crisp, CRISP detail on GIANT prints. Great for still life and seascapes. I use Kodak regularly but when I want an ISO 50 film the first thing that comes to mind is Ilford. A great product.

This film not only blows away all others, but makes you wonder why anyone wastes time with digital B&W.
