This is an excellent film. If what is needed is a slow, sharp film, this one holds up well and shows all the detail.

Ilford PanF 50 is one of my favorite black and white films. Its lack of grain and its good tonal range never disappoints.

If you want super-fine grain structure, great tonal range and a nice slow emulsion then this B/W film is for you. Not recommended for anything action oriented unless you like artistic blurring.

This is a great film for those artsy pictures you want to take with actual film. It's forgiving and the tones are great.

I use it whenever I can afford a low speed. Contrast and tonality are excellent.

I Would Strongly recommend Ilford Pan 50 for shooting day light, portraits, or flash photography, but of course in low light situations you can not forget your tripod. I Like to use everyday kind of film because there is 36 exposures and I cant use them all for one specific shooting. I like to carry my camera everywhere I go so I like to use film that has a broad scope of uses. However, The black and white is strong and depending on the developing or developer your shots will still turn out great. I'm pleased with it. have fun, and remember it made of Iso50 shooting unless you push your film.

I like the tonal range, if u got a camera with a sharp lense its close to medium format, nice to have the look of medium format with 35mm, good quality negs if u develop according instructions

Amazing capture of highlights and deep vivid shadows. No visible grain. I shot a roll of this in the Smoky Mountains with an orange Hoya filter, and the results blew me away. Watch out; it will scratch easily.

I love this for landscapes in low light; gives fabulous results! Of course being slow speed there is little to no grain, nice smooth even tones when printing.

Incredible tone separation and acuity; seamless gradation. This film should be rated at EI 25 with subjects directly illuminated by sunlight, but at box speed looks wonderful in shade. Reds tend to render dark. This film has no equal.

I am a Photog student and use this film in landscape, macro and other work for fine detail and tonal effects. Very pleased with the results and will continue to use this and other Ilford products after graduation because of their quality, price and availability... V/R Kent M. Whitney The PhotogDog

Ilford Pan F 50 gives me just what I need, latitude, versatility and durability. I've been shooting black and white for forty years, with a little luck I'll be shooting Ilford black and white for another forty.

Really fine grain, and great tonal range make Ilford's Pan-F Plus one of the best slow speed monochrome films out there.

I shot some of this film years ago on sunny days, and despite my lack of experience at the time, achieved excellent results - beautiful negatives and really crisp prints. This was the first film that yielded me the often touted 'broad tonal range' bragged about by so many films. If you have the light or a tripod, this stuff is great.
