It fixes fast, is easy to mix, and is liquid concentrate not powder so it's easier to use than something like kodak's fixer Did I mention it's fast

Just getting back into film processing and found this fixer to be a good choice for my needs. Makes 5 liters though I am only mixing 1 liter at a time.

This fixer is for the novice and the professional as far as film and paper fixers go. I use it when developing B&W film and it always does a great job.

Easy to mix. Stays fresh for a long time if stored right, and was able to fix a lot of rolls of film before having to make a new batch! Awsome!!

So glad i can purchase chemistry online! Been using Ilford Rapid Fixer, probably since the 90s. Infrequently working in film, so I don't mind purchasing 1L bottles. Great product, stores well.

Hat's off to Ilford for keeping film alive. This is a great product and very long lasting. I use it for film and paper in all my general printing (I do use homebrew fixer for lith printing and bromoil work). Lasts forever in the bottle, and when mixed for paper or film, the reduced solution lasts a long time if stored in an airtight bottle with a squirt of dust-off gas. It's a great product for film and paper and widely available, and the price is great.

I use this for all my 35mm and 120 film. It's the only one that lasts a good while. The quantity is just the right amount for average development use.

I use Ilford Rapid Fixer for both film and prints. The fact that it is a non-hardening fixer for todays film and paper is great. I've used Kodak's fixer (which has the hardner) and it makes it a pain because the wash times are very long. I've ever only had one RC print not wash out all the fixer and ended up with the yellow stains. But that was all my fault for being in too much of a hurry and thinking I could get away with a quick rinse. So you do have to rinse properly with this fixer, or any for that matter. This is a good fixer and have not experienced and short comings.

I mix it 1:4 in distilled water and fix my negatives for 10 minutes. It works great. It doesn't smell too bad either (for fixer anyway). Used with PanF+, FP4+, HP5+, Delta3200, TriX & TMAX so far with no issues.

Priced very well, as it dilutes to 5 liters for developing and 10 liters for printing. Consistant, reliable results. I plan on buying this fixer again.

The Ilford Rapid Fixer is a superior, non-hardening rapid fixer, supplied as a liquid concentrate that is conveniently diluted with water for use. This professional-grade product is designed for optimal performance in the temperature range of 18-40 Degree C (66-104 Degree F), making it an ideal choice for fixing both black and white film and paper in all manual and machine processing applications. Notably, the Ilford Rapid Fixer is not compatible with fix hardeners, ensuring the integrity and quality of your photographic materials. The primary fixing agent in this high-quality fixer is ammonium thiosulphate, a component known for its effectiveness and reliability. Importantly, it contains no sodium thiosulphate (hypo), making it a safer choice for your darkroom. Whether you're a professional photographer or an enthusiastic hobbyist, the Ilford Rapid Fixer delivers consistent, reliable results, enhancing the longevity and stability of your photographic prints and films.
