I really didn't realize the speed in the new flash cards differed until I got some more storage space for bigger jobs. Lexar is hot. And, man, what a break on pricing to find this on sale at Adorama. Pleases me. I need all the money breaks I can get.

I shoot everything from studio work to location and it has performed well under both conditions.

Does what it's supposed to do at rated speed. No surprises, pro/con or good/bad.

I have recommended to two other friends who have purchased one for themselves!

• Lexar's Platinum II memory cards provide photographers with performance levels capable of sustained rapid-fire shooting and full motion video, two of the most popular and sought after features in digital cameras. The Platinum II CompactFlash memory card is speed-rated at 60X.
• With Platinum II, consumers can confidently choose from a practical line of memory cards that will allow them to take advantage of the advanced features in their digital camera.
• A minimum sustained speed-rating is a measurement of how quickly content can be written to the card. By speed-rating Lexars Platinum II line of cards - and performance testing each before they ship - Lexar is providing a higher level of confidence to the consumer during the flash memory buying process.
• Rapid-fire shooting and video capture are two features that continue to move up the consumer photography priority list. High-speed cards, including those within Lexar's Platinum II line, are ideal for in-camera applications that require the user to write captured information to his or her card without interruption.
• Lexar CompactFlash cards are individually speed-rated so you know the minimum sustained write speed capability of the card. We use the same rating system used by the CD-Rom industry, where data transfers at a rate of 1X equals 150 kilobytes (KB) per second. And the higher the speed rating, the faster your camera can write images to the memory card.
