Extremely fast and did not overheat while transferring over 15 GB of photos from a CFExpress Type B to a Samsung SSD. All 15gb photos transferred in less than a minute or two. I'm very satisfied with the speed and quality.

It's plug and play on my MacBook. Reads the CFExpress card blazingly fast, but it does warm up quite a bit if plugged in for a while. I normally just work with photos so I don't have to leave it on too long.

I received this as a kit component when I purchased my R5. The Lexar CF reader gets extremely hot when transferring data. I have tried it 3 times with the same result. I cannot recommend this CFExpress card reader.

Works great on MacBook Pro with USB-C ports. It's a USB 3.2 device and works well on newer machines ports but computers with the older pre USB-C ports cannot keep up with it so it will appear to be slow but that's the computer not the card reader. Has a solid feel and a foam ring on the base that helps keep it from being tossed around every time a cord is wiggled. However weight and size make it less portable so my MacBooks bag gets the small reader while the Lexar will be the desktop reader. The style looks incredible among the clutter that accumulates around my computer LOL.

The CFExpress was new to me with my Nikon Z6ii so I bought a card with this reader. Having used cameras with the different types of cards and this being the newest form I was expecting it to operate the same but faster. That was not my experience. It works a little differently in Lightroom and it seems notably slower. The difference in operation is no biggy but I?m confused why it seems slower. Maybe with more experience it will be different for me.

The Lexar CF Express came with the CF card, the cable is included. It operates well and I do not know much about CF cards. I have no way of measuring how fast it downloads. MP4 are very slow to download photos are three times faster to download. Only had it for 3 weeks so far. Definitely it is operational.

It works but some times when i try to disconnect from the computer it won't let me. I keep getting device in use when its not. But serves it purpose for the most part

Exceeded my expectations. Well built, extremely fast. I couldn't ask for more. The price was steep in my opinion, but after seeing and using the product, it was money well spent.

It works, it's fast, but it gets worryingly hot even if you're not transferring. To get around this, I transfer and eject immediately, I don't want to cook anything.

Piece of plastic junk. One of my 128G CFexpress cards got stuck in this reader. I had to break the reader to get to my very expensive CFExpress card. Do not buy.

Might be DOA...plugged it into USB2.0 and 3.2 ports and nothing....ports are good cause XQD reader plugged into same ports works fine...wouldn't recommend this particular unit...

The data transfer is fine. It gets very hot and the plastic expands locking the card in until it cools.
