Encryption software obsolete
I purchased this solely because of the encryption software included. I had no need for an additional flash drive, and certainly could have found an 8GB drive for half the price if I needed one. After trying to encrypt files and getting error messages, I contacted Lexar. They informed me the product is not compatible with Windows 7 and they had no plans to update it in the future. [$]

I'm confident that my encrypted files will remain safe
I was looking for a USB drive with an encryption program included. This was just what I was looking for. It allows creation of an encrypted folder of the size of your choice. The program is called Secure II that used the AES 256 algorithm. When you create your password, the program shows a bar that indicates a level of security that increases with the length and variety of the characters used. If I ever loose this drive, I'm confident that my encrypted files will remain safe.

Great Potential, I think!
I think it is going to be great if I ever get it operating. Directions that come with unit are not clear. Encrypting is confusing. I have printed out the entire manual and will be working on understanding it as soon as I have the time. Once I take the hours that are going to be necessary to learn the unit and get it working I think/hope I will like it. Certainly not the slam dunk that the Lexar JumpDrive Secure units I purchased previously were to get up and running.
