I love shooting black-and-white and C-41 makes it much easier to process and less expensive. I buy this film all the time.

Discover the Ilford XP-2 Super, a professional-grade, sharp, and fast black and white film that brings a fine grain quality to your photography. This versatile film is perfect for capturing a wide range of subjects, ensuring exceptional results even when dealing with challenging lighting conditions and a broad brightness range.
The Ilford XP-2 Super is renowned for its improved exposure latitude over its predecessor, XP2, allowing photographers to capture images with crisp, clear details and a high level of contrast. This results in striking black and white prints with excellent highlight detail and deep, rich shadows, providing an optimal balance for print quality.
One of the standout features of the Ilford XP-2 Super is its ease of use. It boasts an extremely wide exposure latitude, making it forgiving and straightforward to expose correctly. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an enthusiast, you'll appreciate the simplicity with which you can achieve high-quality results.
Processing this film is as convenient as it gets for black and white photography. The Ilford XP-2 Super is designed for C41 type processing, which is the same process used for color negative films, making it accessible and cost-effective. This chromogenic film develops its image dyes during the development process, a unique characteristic that contributes to its wide exposure latitude and fine grain, especially when exposed at its effective index (EI) of 400/27.
Even when you push or pull the film, the Ilford XP-2 Super maintains its quality. Overexposed negatives exhibit finer grain, while underexposed negatives show only a slight loss in quality, which is contrary to conventional films. This film is recommended to be processed using standard C41 processing across its entire exposure range for consistent and reliable results.
The Ilford XP-2 Super 35mm film is coated on a 0.125mm acetate base, ensuring durability and consistent performance. It is available in 24 or 36 exposure DX cassettes, as well as in bulk film lengths, catering to various shooting needs. The film is supplied in DX Coded cassettes, making it compatible with all 35mm cameras.
For medium format photographers, the Ilford XP-2 Super roll film is coated on a 0.110mm clear acetate base with an anti-halation backing that clears during development. It is available in 120 lengths, edge numbered for ease of use, and adheres to international standards with a red exposed label indicating it requires color negative processing.
Choose the Ilford XP-2 Super for a high-quality, reliable, and durable black and white film that offers both the professional and the enthusiast the versatility to explore the art of photography in all its shades of gray.
